Definitely one of the best services I have ever got. I moved from Virginia to Maryland, those guys moved my two-story house. What I like the most is that everything went smoothly and how we agreed: the price was like in a quote and the job took even shorter than it was estimated. I had a lot of porcelain in my kitchen and glass furniture in the living room. After moving I have every single piece and nothing is damaged. I recommend my service for my sister too and she had the same pleasant experience. Good job guys, way to go! more

These people are the devil. They are so dishonest that words failed me. The good comments below are by father and son - Moshe p and David P, the p,stands for Pinto. They did exactly the same to me as the did to Uttam K. They just joined citysearch so they can write positive review on behalf of themselves. They still have my belongings as hostage since January 24. They must have fired Dean, the was the only human there. These people are sub- humans. The father Moshe P came to my home and had his wife called him so she can show him their baby and he in turn called me to look at his iPhone so he can convince what a nice human he is but it's all a scam. They people must be put out of business. I will try my best so anyone who is willing to help, post on their website. I am now in touch with Maryland police department.\r We see that they are giving free boxes--wow-that person is a lucky one-they could not wait to charge me for anything extra-plus Moshe said he will bring all my plants with not problem, I am still waiting for my plants. Now David sent me an email offering me some money if I can remove this review. If I do that more people will be ripped-off by these horrible human beings.\r more

i used universal movers for my local move from rockville md to gaithersburg md on feb 10 david and his crow was super nice they gave me 7 additional boxes for free and was super human..\r the move was very difficult because i move from a 3 levels town house but still every thing go smooth without any damage ...\r thank you guys im appreciate your hard work more

I've used UNIVERSAL MOVERS several times now, first moving from my house to a condo, then condo to my new house. They handled our electronics with care and made sure to pack the moving truck efficiently. Our furniture was wrapped with pads and our cherry wood bedroom set came out of this move without a scratch! The owner is very easy to work with and very accommodating. We chose this company based on other personal referrals and based on their reputation. They have over 30 years of experience in the DC area, which I think is important when hiring a moving company! I have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone.\r \r more

I will ALWAYS use universal movers from now on!\r \r From the moment I called and spoke with dean I felt like I was in good hands. He was helpful, friendly, prompt and didn't make me feel like a terrible person because I was calling to make a last minute move (unlike EVERY OTHER moving company I spoke with...). He was understanding and happy to help.\r \r dean fit me in and sent me two of the most professional, hard-working, personable and funny guys, german and roni. The were extremely careful when moving all my furniture while at the same time moving quickly so I didn't get over charged for over time.\r \r I paid what was quoted, which I think is very rare with movers and had a great experience all around. The company discussed a quote with me and collected a deposit based on that quote. When the movers arrived, they started discussing fees which would more than double the original quote. After phone discussions with the manager (Mr. Pinto), we verbally agreed on a flat fee in cash. It was agreed that they would refund the original deposit to my credit card. After the move, they claim that the flat fee was on top of the deposit and refuse my refund.\r \r When I called to talk about my deposit and damaged items, twice they said they would call me back and did not. I finally cornered one of them into actually having a conversation with me and he said he could give me $30 for my $600 table which his mover damaged because it was based on weight. His mover was completely negligent in moving that table. He was a 17 year old goofing off (he told me his age during one of his breaks). He also knocked off panels and transponders that were plugged in for the security system. I didn't even mention these because I do not intend on using them.\r \r These guys are VERY dishonest salesmen. Be very careful. Make sure that if you use them you know exactly what the quote includes. They charge between 12 and 30 dollars per item for EVERY little extra and will FORCE you to use the extras claiming insurance reasons. When you file an insurance claim, they will avoid you. more

universal movers are amazing!!!\r they move me from gaithersburg to bathesda the estimate was like 7 hours but they beat the clock and save me 150$$$ plus i got a 5% off for paying in cash... \r i highly recommend universal movers they make agreat job!!!!! more
