<p>United Cold Storage is a public refrigerated warehouse boasting 5-40,000 cubic feet of frozen and refrigerated space serving the San Francisco and Northern Peninsula area from its location in South San Francisco.<br /><br />The UCS plant was built in 1938 as meat packing plant and continued as such into the 1950’s. the facility evolved into a public refrigerated ware house with the decline of the meat packing industry.</p>
<p>After becoming a public warehouse, UCS was purchased in 1966 by E.J. Willig, Jr. Mr. Willig proceeded to modernize and expand the facility until his death in 1996. The business has been owned and operated since that time by Jim Mogan. Mr. Morgan has 26 years experience with various firms in the public refrigerated warehouse industry.</p>
