Can't say enough about this place. foreign domestic it doesn't matter they can and will fix it all for a fair price!

Worst

first they thought I was a young kid so it was ok for them to rip me off , also inconsiderate and over priced, wanted to charge me $120 dollars for a battery, one worker asked me ...

I was passing through on a long road trip and my car broke down. I was towed to this shop, and they were excellent! Very reasonable prices, were very informative on what they were doing and they stayed late trying to squeeze me in so I could get back onto the road. I would highly recommend this auto repair shop :) more

When your Porsche, BMW, or Mercedes is brand new, please, go take it to the dealer to get it worked on but, once it's out of warranty, take it to United Car Care. They do excellent work for a fair price and work on all kinds of import cars. Over the past ten years they have worked on my Ferrari 308, my BMW, my specialty Beck 550, my Alfa Romeo, and my current Porsche Boxster. When you take your car to the dealer they will often charge you for 3 hours of work even though their mechanic only spent 15 minutes on the car. If you complain they will tell you that 'there is a fixed rate for that repair'. At least at United Car Care if they spend 3 hours on your car, it means they actually did 3 hours of work. Highly recommended! more

These guys rock. I came in right before closing, and Scott (the owner) stayed late to help me out because I had to leave town. He explained all my options clearly, and worked with me to try the cheapest options first to try and save me money. He was honest that it would take some time to investigate, and didn't try to schmooze me with the highest price repair. \r \r He also wanted me to let him know I'd made it to my destination safely. Who does that? I really appreciate these guys and their personalized care. \r \r And yes, I got to leave town on time, and my car has worked perfectly since.\r \r Thanks Scott!\r \r p.s. He has a great sense of humor and made the visit fun too. Really, where else would you go? more

If you should ever fine a honest mechanic stick with them, unfortunately these guys are not it! I had some lighting issues and basically they charged me close to $200 to change light bulbs in my vintage VW. When Scott called me and said he had 2hrs and the bill was at $200 I told him to stop all work on the car and I would pick it up. I picked it up and took it to Archway in south county and they had it fixed in an hour. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and go somewhere else. Try Lasater Automotive or anywhere else for that matter! One more thing, funny how half of the reviews on here have the same names as the owners of United, Scott and Mike. more

DO not go to these guys 9/16/2010

first they thought I was a young kid so it was ok for them to rip me off , also inconsiderate and over priced, wanted to charge me $120 dollars for a battery, one worker asked me to give him the title for my vehicle plus $65 to take it off my hands so he could give it to his kid! then when i paid $516 dollars for 60 days of storage I saw that my vehicle was missing several items one of which was a two hundred dollar tow package.plus the work to my vehicle was never done and my battery was no longer existent! more

Friendly service and mechanics you can trust. 8/12/2009

It was close to closing time when I pulled in with no appointment and a steering issue on my truck. They took me right in, quickly found the problem, repaired it and got me on the road safe again at a price I could afford. Pros: Experienced Trustworthy Mechanics Cons: Dont know of any more

United Car Care will work to ensure their customer is satisfied with work performed. The mechanics are knowledgeable and are willing to take time to explain problems discovered. For the money spent to repair your car, one can also gain useful education on the mechanics of how a car functions. Pros: Near highway, Decent hours, Customer care and satisfaction, Informative Cons: Prices slightly high, no late hours more

Fixed it right fast 3/22/2006

These guys know cars, diagnosed and fixed my emissions problem pronto and inexpensive. Pros: easy access, close to hiway Cons: small waiting room more
