In Short
Two dozen passenger airlines service Detroit Metro, including Northwest Airlines, which uses it as a hub for its domestic routes and international flights. In early 2002, DTW opened the new McNamara terminal--a state-of-the art concourse boasting 97 gates, 90 E-ticket kiosks, and nearly 80 shops and retaurants. Also added were an 11,000-space parking garage and a second main entrance road to ease traffic congestion on I-94.
