I got married in Sonoma a couple weeks ago. It was a blast and I felt like a princess.\r
\r
I was really pleased with my vendors-- all total pros and made the whole day go seamlessly-- with one exception. JAC Hair Gallery was a total nightmare! \r
\r
Even though I had a signed contract, tried numerous times to reach them by phone, and sent confirmation emails to the owner, there were huge mix ups. To make matters worse, the owner acted in a very unprofessional manner. I'll leave out the gory details, but suffice it to say it was the only stress factor in the days leading up to my wedding. I can only conclude she figured that she had little to lose, as we were out of town customers, and we were locked into the contract. \r
\r
I had to keep them on, but didn't want them touching my hair. I ended up having to book a second stylist-- who turned out to be amazing! \r
\r
As far as JAC, we paid for everything, even the services we didn't use. We tipped 15% as the stylist himself did a reasonable job. Even he told us later that the owner had made a mess of it. \r
\r
I didn't let them ruin my day, but don't let them interfere with yours. Stay far, far away.\r
UPDATE: Dolores I am not a former stylist, although I can well imagine why former employees might have ill will due to general unprofessionalism. Note that all the other ""rave"" reviews look contrived: the other ""customers"" have only reviewed this one site (or JAC's other site Blush), are way over the top and always know the owners by name. Writing your own reviews to artificially inflate ratings? Unethical and misleading! \r
Cons: Unreliable, arrogant, patronizing
