Underiner, Angeli M, Md - Landen Lake Pediatrics

I have been with this practice since my older daughter was born - more than 8 years ago. I simply love them and will not dream of changing the docs. My second was a preemie - by 12 weeks - who almost didn't make it. I trust this practice enough to have gone back to them with her!!\r \r My children usually see Dr Doscher there, but we have had occassion to see Dr Korn and Underiner as well. They are all equally competent and empathetic. On one occassion, the doctor even took his own personal time to go and research the CDC website for vaccine recommendations because we were to travel with our little one to a developing nation. Hard to beat that much caring!! I can say with confidence that I have never been recommended any extra tests or medication than is absolutely necessary to address issue at hand. I went to this practice for the sake of distance to my kids' daycare. This was my first time there and I would never go there again. My daughter has a cold symptom, fever, coughing, stuff nose. The doctor asked question about the shot records, listened to her chest, and checked her ear. And she was about to finish! I asked her, did you check the throat? She got her peek tool and checked. I asked her again, did you check the nose? She wouldn't do any further to check! Then she ordered chest X-ray and flu test. And was reluctant to speak with me afterwards. I don't know how much commission she can make for sending patients to the hospital. I would have to pay hundreds dollars to check those she ordered. I believe the doctor there, at least this doctor, Underiner, Angeli, only cares if you pay her. She doesn't care if you kid is cured or not. All she can do is order, order and order. So that you will spend spend and spend. In short, this doctor is either inexperienced or irresponsible. So I wouldn't recommend this practice to any of you. Cons: inexperienced or irresponsible more

I absolutely love this practice. There are only 3 doctors and small enough that you know the doctors and they know you. If I call and ask to speak to a nurse, they know who I am. They book appointments in a way that I never have waited more than a few minutes. The location is very convenient. They came highly recommended from my previous physican when I moved. Wish I could find a similar adult practice for my husband and myself. Pros: size of practice, stability of staff = little turnover, personal service Cons: can't think of any more
