Under Budget Cabinets

I was a lucky one I ordered and paid June 2008 and finally got all the cabinets installed the end of October 2008 after many dates not met and empty promises! It was a nightmare dealng with these people. Once they made a mistake it was amazing how Skip had all the problems in the world that kept him from returning my calls while I am pleased with the end result I would NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN, I would turn and run as fast as I could. Installers were less than professional and down right frightening! more

In Dec. 09, Will and Janet from UBC came to my house to give me an estimate on kitchen cabinets. Offered me a great deal that included cabinets and countertops. I was told it would take about 3 mos. They offered me 12 mos same as cash. Financed through GE Money. I went in in Jan. 2010 and signed ALL paperwork, including credit slip for the amount. At the beginning of April I had not heard from them, so I called. Janet informed me that it would be a little longer. I told her May would be fine. Made arrangements to be home. Never heard from them. Finally got them to commit to a date and time. When they got to my house, they had the wrong floorplan. Then we went back to the showroom and Nancy assured me they had my cabinets. They only were missing the long base cabinet as it needed to be stained; and the corner wall cabinet. When they got back out to my house, it was a hodgepodge of cabinets and doors and I was missing more than she said. And some were the wrong sizes. I was told they would make it right. NO COUNTERTOPS AT ALL. I still have the hodgepodge of cabinets and no countertops. Makes it difficult to use the kitchen. When I call, and I still do, until last week, as their phone has been disconnected; I keep getting told as they get more clients they are able to build up revenue so they will be able to use that money to make my cabinets right. In the meantime, the original cabinets that I ordered are no longer available as that company will not deal with them anymore. I have since filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office; and the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. I am waiting to find out the outcome. I have asked for my money back on several occasions and to no avail. These people have committed FRAUD and should be brought up on charges for everyone they have taken money from. I am OUTRAGED, FURIOUS, and MOST FRUSTRATED that they are getting away with this. more

A den of thieves. UBC gladly took my $3600 deposit on Nov 21, 2009 for a condo kitchen rehab. Product was to be delivered sometime mid-February 2010. Mid-February came and went. By late February I am concerned so I give UBC a call. ""Well, the delivery date has been pushed back two weeks..."" This went on through March. Through April too. So in early May, 2010 I pay UBC a visit. I am promised an installation on May 21st, 2010. Why, the gentleman even wrote that promise out in ink, on my original contract. Now I have an install date. I arrange to have my kitchen gutted May 20th. My kitchen is now a scene out of Beirut. May 21st comes and goes. Suffice it to say, my cabinets were never delivered. I hired a new company and paid them and had new kitchen installed June of 2010. In the meantime, UBC will not give me my money back. I can rarely get a hold of them. Bottomline, these guys are blatant thieves and DO NOT do business with them. more

I ordereded cabinets from The loser. He and Ms. Rodriguez are operating a Ponzi scheme. They take your money with no intentions of delivering a product. Do not get caught up in their scheme. The State Attorney General should have investigated and arrested them both by now. They belong behing bars. check with the BBB if you need more input. Why they are allowed to be in business is beyond me. If you put your money in here you will get nothing back. I'm warning you. more

we ordered our cabinets in Feb. 2010 and were told they would be delivered in May. Started calling in May and theydid not return calls. finally talked to someone and they said they would call us in a week after they ""found"" our order. They NEVER call us about this problem, we have to call them every time. It is now mid-July and no cabinets, no info on when we will get them or even if they ever submitted the order. We call weekly and get a vague story every time. They have not offered to refund our sizeable check or any-thing close to it. I guess hey started having big problems between feb and May and fired a lot of employees etc. Why should this affect our order in the least. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! I was in the market to remodel my kitchen and saw an ad on TV advertising a local cabinet company called Under Budget Cabinets. I had already planned to go with a larger box store but thought it wouldn't hurt to stop in and see the showroom. They were straight forward with they pricing and came out to the house and measured my kitchen for free. After the designer sat down with me and presented my kitchen design in complete detail for half the price I was sold. These guys are great!? Pros: friendly and professional Cons: showroom tough to find more

I wanted to take a few moments to thank you again for the beautiful cabinet work you did. My kitchen especially is better than I had evey hoped, the design and detail gave it just the look we were trying to achieve. Salesman arrived at appointed time. He explained and showed us the many options we had. He also showed us 3 different ways we could lay out our new kitchen. Our order arrived when they said it would and the quality was outstanding. Comparable cabinets at Lowe's cost about $275 more than I paid. I highly recommend UBC and am proud to support small local Tucson businesses. Pros: many different cabinets to choose from, service, low prices Cons: bit of a drive from Oro Valley to their showroom more

After reading the review by lbrodrick I am shocked!. Same story, but a few differences. 11 weeks went by phone calls not returned, no status on my one single pantry cabinet, so I went in person expecting the company closed. Wow, they were still in business, so I talked to a manager and he said the manufacturer lost my order, and it would be at least 8 more weeks. They agreed to cancel the order, as it was never placed, and to credit my charge card back. Well, it has been 6 weeks and the credit card has not been credited, and again I cannot get anyone to return my calls. I too have had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I do feel now I need to file a complaint with the BBB. So much for doing business with a local family run business! Seriously, find yourself another company. Pros: Sorry I cant give you one Cons: UNreliable, UNdependable, UNtrustworthy more

I ordered cabinets and cancelled them within 2 days before they placed the order with the manufacturer. Even thought the salesperson complained about how much work she had done drawing my specifications, she assured me that they would give me a refund on my credit card. \r \r 9 days have passed and no one will call me back on when the refund was procesed. That's because they've done nothing to process a refund. It literally takes seconds to key into the credit card terminal to process a refund. When I call, ""no one is there"". Not the manager, salesperson, bookeeper or owner. \r \r I have been forced to dispute a legitimate, promised refund with my credit card company. In the meantime, my credit card limit remains used by their charge and my remodel is being held up.\r \r Find someone else if you want to do business with people who have integrity.
