Uncle Julio's Rio Grande Cafe is an awesome place to go with friends and co-workers at the end of a long week. If you're looking for a drink to hit the spot- try a strawberry margarita with a sugared rim, or the signature swirl- half frozen margarita, half frozen sangria.
For starters, the quesadilas are a great appetizer. If you're not super hungry you can order a half order (6 pieces, instead of 12). If you order chicken quesadillas, be sure to upgrade to the fajita chicken. The fresh guacamole and queso are great complements to the house chips that come with every meal.
Their signature dish are the fajitas, but some of my other favorites include the carne asada and the tacos al carbon.
For dessert, you can't leave with out trying the Cajeta. Its a round ice cream ball, covered in peanuts (or pecans) and sweet cajeta sauce. It's delicious and perfect for two.
Pros: No one can top these margaritas
Cons: The salsa has a distinctive smoky flavor
