I don't know what the other reviewers had to eat, but I went in there on a quiet Thursday afternoon with my mother for lunch, and just to give you an idea of how good it is...at the end of my meal I asked for a doggy bag. The service is pretty fast, the entire place is CLEAN and the eating area is very modern - cool jazz music playing in the background was a plus. I am somewhat of an expert on Creole/Soul Food, because I was raised on it, and this is extremely close to the authentic stuff. Try the gumbo: 'nuff said. Smitty's Cajun Catfish plate (we tried it fried) was served piping hot (don't forget to ask for tartar sauce), the collard greens tasted like momma's (as it should be). I will note the mac and cheese needs a bit more cheese (personal preference only), but the flavors are dead on. I will definitely recommend this place to all of my friends. I'm definitely going back for more! They also cater...Superbowl party anyone?!
Pros: Inviting Ambience, Partking in Rear, Attentive Service, Seat yourself
Cons: Somewhat pricey...but you get what you pay for
