Bob and Dennis\r Super Pro's. Going back to the 70's when I personally managed several acts and traveled from Hawaii to Boston. They took care of me. Blown speaker in Honolulu??? Bob would get out of bed, drive to the store and we'd have it the next afternoon in plenty of time for the evening show. Thats the kind of people these guys were and still are, wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Now my grand kids get their instruments from UB's, they're the best. more

Great guys, great prices 11/30/2010

I bought a classic roland drum machine for 40$. Bob's knows they could put it on Ebay and get more. When I took it home, I decided i wanted to something different and they exchanged it with excitement. The guys don't seem price obsessed, there is a super chill conversational feel to their business style. They have lots of random vintage gear you just won't find at some chain. No arrogant yet talentless 20 year olds employed there, just experienced well adjusted dudes. Bob's for life. more

They Don't Make stores like this anymore! 11/30/2010

Why do you suppose myself and others travel 80 miles to West Allis when there are 4 Guitar Centers and 3 Sam Ash Stores here in Chicago? \r Becuse Stores like Uncle Bob's are the kind of music stores I used to go to when I was a kid. Plently of new and used gear, guys who know what they are talking about and a non-corporate vibe where you can still wheel and deal. I have outfitted my entire sound company through Uncle Bob's and have saved $100's over the last 4 years. Take the trip, it's worth it. Just stay away from anything made by Proell!! more

Uncle Bobs - your long lost relative! 11/6/2010

My wife and I were looking for a small personal amp that we could plug into our electric guitar - the folks at Uncle Bobs were amazing - extremely helpful - knowledgeable and they had exactly what we were looking for - when we came back to buy a couple more they were sold out bult immediately special ordered some more for us - great people - a great place to buy anything related to music - instruments - sound equiptment and more. Like a long lost relative - they treat you like family! more

Great Prices, Great Service 10/3/2008

I had to order a bunch of stereo equipment for my bar. I did a lot of research and found some good prices, but they were from mail order places I found online. A friend of mine suggested checking with Uncle Bob's before I ordered, I had never been there before. Their prices were lower than anything I could find online! They are very easy to deal with. When one of the pieces didn't work (no fault of theirs) they gladly exchanged it for another piece of the same type. I had to leave some of the equipment there for a while, that was no problem. They actually seem to really appreciate the fact that I did business with them, which is pretty rare these days! I would highly recommend doing business with them! more

Great service and wide variety of what ever it takes to be a musician A-Z. If they don't have it they can get it. Pros: great parking and plenty of inventory more
