Uncle Bill's Pet Centers

I came to this location to check out some birds to find another one to keep my lovebird company. I wanted to look at the cockatiels and lovebirds, and the poor cockatiels had dirty water and some of them had their tail feathers completely plucked. They had no human contact whatsoever so every time I tried to have one step up, they all went insane because they were so afraid of hands. This is not a place for exotic birds. Those poor birds were so unhappy and very over priced. No one will pay 100 dollars for a cockatiel that can't be friendly because its basically wild and trapped in a cage. The lovebird who was by himself was the exact same way. These birds are horribly neglected as far as training and clean food an water goes. It seems as if the employees have no experience with birds at all and just throw food in their cage and go on their way. There were some very sweet conures and a beautiful sweet macaw there who seemed friendly but also lacked human experience except for people just gawking at them and children sticking their fingers through cages at them. Zero stars for this awful place. Go to Bird Fever. That's where I got my sweet little lovebird who was hand raised and cared for. more

I haven't been to this pet store in such a long time. However when I went there some time back, I saw they didn't watch there kittens that well. They let anyone and everyone including kids abuse them! It was sad! I had bought 3 kittens and raised them from this location! The 1st one Ashes, was really shy and only ended up liking very few people, the next one Tiny was also the same way! And the last one I got Cookie, she was scared of everyone even me! She would never let me hold her! A bad place to buy kittens, and I know this from experenice! more

I must preface this by saying I am against buying your dog from a petstore. Overpriced, could be profiting a puppy mill, etc. But my neighbor just brought home a mixed breed dog from Uncle Bills and is very happy. So I can't speak honestly about dogs/cats. I just know they are pricey here as in all pet stores. But I do think this is a great place to get supplies, as well as fish and other small animals that you can't get anywhere else. They have a good guarantee on fish, and have experts working there in the back to help you select everything you need. Clean store, nice workers. more
