U.S. Post Office

Ok let me first start off by saying... the TELLERS at the post office are nice people... Ok with that said the people who work in the back SUCK! 1. They seem to have no type of organization. 2. They seem to not know the date (wrong dates on slips). 3. There phone is always busy. 4. They Are BLIND 5. They are LAZY 6. Dirty Everywhere 7. 5-6 windows and 2-3 Tellers ? WTF! Why is this place even still open? This place is always packed and that will never change since it covers so much of the area. If they just open a new post office about a mile out... it would take a HUGE load off of this one and i bet so much bad stuff wouldnt happen. I have lost countless packages and $1000s because of them. Shouldnt that be a FELONY ? They suck! DO NOT USE... STAY AWAY! FEDEX in 11206 sucks also... IF YOU LIVE IN 11206 USE UPS FOR EVERYTHING it will save you: 1.Time 2. Headache 3. Money Sorry if this was kind of long... Just that this place truly is the worst ever. more

I haven't received mail in 2 weeks. There are 5 people that live in my house. The mail just stopped when it snowed on Christmas. It's January 8th and we haven't received even junk mail. 2 of us get our paychecks by mail. What is a post office for if they don't deliver mail? When I have had a package delivered by the USPS, they don't even knock on the door. They just put the pink slip in the mail box and then leave. When I go the same day to pick it up, I wait in line for an hour to find out that they never even carry the packages with them for delivery. They only deliver the pink slips. Worthless scum. more

Not good! Apparently someone ""tried"" to deliver my package to me, left an invisible ""notice"", and when I went to pick up the package, NO ONE CAN FIND IT. ""Is the name on the box right?"" ""Are you sure it is here at this office?"" ""I am going to take a REALLY good look around this time to find it."" I mean, c'mon!! How does a BIG box fall into limbo?If it is not on the truck, shouldn't it be there at the office? And in some kind of alphabetical order? Instead, everyone is running around like a headless chicken ""trying"" to find my package. I can't believe this. I think it fell off the mail truck! more

I have lived on this route for long enough to know never to use regular mail. Not just for important things but for anything at all. I was sent two items at the same time from the same person and only received one. The second was very important and no one at the station can tell me anything about it. They are rather quite rude, uneducated and obviously do not want to be there. I have met third graders with better english and more professional attitudes. more

I was compelled to create an account just to write a review for this place. Dont ever use this post office if you can help it. Regular mail is inconsistent at best, now express mail is a joke, although they charge for it like FedEx does if not more, was supposed to get my package with important documents on 7/17 today is 7/22 its still not here, apperantly they buzzed the door and run away, posting what I can imagine a pre-written note, saying that no one came down. Absurd, as I was home and told them over the intercome that i am coming down. No one picks up the phone at that location, as the phone is off the hook (i would not be surprised if that's on purpose) and by the way the number listed here is not even a right number, it is a number for some other business!!! I've been out here for about 10 years and have avoided having anything delivered at home for 9 of those years. Now, I don't have a choice. Priority Mail apparently isn't too important. The actual station is dirty, slow, and confusing. I have never had a problem with the clerks, as they are usually courteous, but they could easily cut down on the amount of traffic if they had an automated stamp dispenser or postage machine like they do in Manhattan. I strongly discourage using the USPS if you're in the 11206 zip code. Stick with UPS and Fed Ex if possible. Pros: Zilch Cons: don't deliver - horrible station more

I have been at my current location for 2 years now. When i first moved in the mail was delivered every day between 2:00 and 3:00. Recently the postman was changed. The new postal worker rarely delivers the mail at all. I am running a small business and rely on the mail for bills and payments. This is the worst service I've ever experienced. The postal service in this area is terrible. I knew my package was suppose to be delivered on a certain day and had someone wait in my apt for it. They left a note saying they buzzed when they didn't. I went to pick it up and the staff there is god awful rude. I had another bad experience at that post office as well with getting a passport. more

I believe that it is important to keep a mailman on thier route so that when he comes deliever the mail, they are recognized by the people they are delievering mail to. Just recently the mailman on my route was out on sickleave and that left me with practically no mail at all. My mail would come in one day and noting the other days. Just recently I called the Bushwick Office (Brooklyn) due some packages sent to me by different companies that I have not received, and they delayed in calling me back. I looked through the confirmation site and noticed that the package was delievered quite sometime back, but what I dont understnad is that without the regular mailman I dont get my mail on time or dont get anything at all. ( I never got my packages though it was confirmed delivered).\r Sad to say, I have been home for the last five months ( working 5 pm to 1 am (night)) and i never got a buzz from the intercome indicating the delieveries. I believe it was an incompetent delieverer. I paid over 150$ for the packages and I did not get the packages or my money back.
