This is a rant, so you don't have to read the whole thing, but I normally have a pretty good feeling all around for UPS but this location has a staff member that is not helpful. It should be very clear that without customers, there will be no business to run. In order to keep customers, sometimes you have to say to yourself that sometimes helping a customer out of your job description won't hurt you. I have always listened to customers and have gone above and beyond more than once just so I know they get what they are paying for. It is not so with this location. There are situations (like mine) where no one is helping you and there are customers (who have a life) that need help outside of your little comfort zone. I am in a different state and my husband got me a cell phone. He found out it was sent through UPS and the store wouldn't give him a tracking number. I have called the 800#, they could not help me cuz I have no tracking number. And the cell number they needed wasn't showing. My husband told me to call the local UPS and see if it's there like it was for his cousin (they went to the local UPS and his phone was there. They had messed up his order too!). I tried to tell all of this to this woman that works there, but she did not even let me start to tell her. I needed someone to be able to tell me what are my options (other than calling the 800#). She did not have the time to even listen and she did not want to help me. She tried to tell me to call the 800 # and when I tried to tell her I did, and I started with my story, she cut me off and raised her voice which made me raise mine, and then she hung up. I called her back to get her name, which she would not give. It doesn't matter because I have the time of day we talked and I will be calling her manager (if she isn't the manager), and I will also be calling the 800 number. This isn't right; there should be a little consideration when someone needs some reasonable help.
