UNCOMMON Auburn

I am going to every site possible to post this: DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I do not even know where to begin to complain about them. After moving out of one of their properties we waited 2 months to see any information about getting our deposit back. Honest to goodness I called them about it and they were like "oh yeah well I got to look into that." A MONTH later (after everyday calls) they said "yes we do owe you on your deposit and have mailed it out." Two weeks later still no check. I called yet again and they said no we mailed it guess it was lost in the mail. After another week come to find out that someone mailed the check to the wrong address? And I had to drive to the real estate company office to get my check. They say they offer pest control, and I did see a bug man come in, but the place I lived in was OVERRUN with roaches. UGH! I can go on and on but just know that I am not someone who complains a lot. This place really SUCKS and do not rent a property from them! more

I've rented from 3 different realty companies in Auburn, and this one is by far the worst. To sum up why: 1) They change the lease terms AFTER you sign the lease and there's nothing you can do. I signed a lease for a furnished apartment, only to move in and find NO furniture (no bed, sofa, anything). When I talked to the staff, they said they had "amended" the lease, making this an unfurnished apartment. So I had no furniture and was having to pay the rent of a furnished apartment. 2) They randomly close for entire days during the week without any warning. Multiple times I would take off work to take care of business there, only to find out they were closed for the whole day. 3) The maintenance is horrible. When I moved in, the stove and oven didn't work (did no one check this before renting the place out??) and it took them 3 weeks to replace it. Later on, I noticed the AC wasn't working well and my power bill was over $200. Turns out they are supposed to change the filters more

Auburn Realty is the big name in property in the Auburn area, but they are the worst option around. They never respond to e-mails and it is nearly impossible to get them on the phone. When part of my building burned down it took them months to get around to making repairs. The office staff is rude and they schedule all move ins on the same day at the same time. You will wait for hours in the sun just to get your key. more
