When you get the vehicle, they give you a contract that says you have to fill the fuel tank to where it was when they gave it to you, otherwise you get charged an arm and a leg. Of course this is impossible because you can't tell how full the tank is when you have the engine shut off to refuel it. Also, the needle may look like it's at 7/8, but it can go way past the full mark, making it very easy to overfill, which is what I did. They were completely unwilling to give me any kind of refund whatsoever and the attendant gave me a bad attitude when I even suggested it. It's not enough they charge you a rental fee, environmental fee, taxes, and per mile, but they charge you for every little thing you use, including furniture padding and the dolly, and on top of that they want you to pay for the fuel and try to trick you into overfilling! I could have hired a moving company to move my stuff for me for the price I paid for the Uhaul. I will never use Uhaul again.
