Horrible experience. We waited for over an hour for the kids that work there to hook up the trailer only to watch them ram the trailer into the back of our car. After going through all the inconvience of getting two quotes, taking pictures, etc. they claim it didn't happen and won't accept liability. I cannot believe anyone would ever run their business like this. Never ever go there. more

Terrible Service 6/13/2011

Terrible service. Even the manager was rude and obviously has taught the employees to act the same. They were very incompetent and slow. The arrogance was very disheartening. I will never use this location again. I was forced to use another location across town because of this and had no problems at all. more

Stay Away! 2/14/2011

Very poor service, high rates, and you will get the runaround if you have any questions. we reserved a truck online, nothing is noted about mileage limits, only number of days. so we made trips back and forth so that we don't damage furniture. when driver picked up, he signed the contract, which stated .40 c per additional mile over limit, assuming we knew that from the reservation on website. Nowhere on website when making reservation say anything about mileage. we were not contacted by anyone and we racked up over $900 dollars in fees. this location gave us the runaround for 4 days, and stating there is nothing they can do, but regional office, it turned out it was all in their hands to do but simply refused saying our driver sign a contract. Had we known we would've went with other truck rentals with better rates AND honest service! more

Horrific Service Stay Away at All Cost 5/31/2010

The experience was horrific. I attempted to talk to the lady at the desk about the fuel issue. I tried my best to fill it up to 3/4 tank. I overfilled it to 98% full. I took the gas receipt in to show them and see if a small credit could be issues. The lady threw the receipt at me and said NOT POSSIBLE! I explained that at the pick up location they did not have it filled to full and refused to do so. \r \r I attempted to discuss and explain this and the lady at the counter cut me off mid-sentence. I asked nicely to see a manager to discuss, plus let her know the engine light was also on for half the trip but she ignored me on that as well. She said there was no manager and this is a UHAUL gas policy and she had nothing to do with it. I asked when I could discuss this with the manager and then she became upset. \r \r I raised my voice back to her as she was becoming very rude and the other gentlemen behind the counter threatened to call the police on me for theft. I said what theft; I just gave you 20 dollars of gas for free. I was the one that was robbed. He told me ""get out"". \r \r I told them they could get the receipt in the van themselves if they were going to be this rude to me and they again threatened the police on me. I don't know what sort of mentally ill people you hire but I have two more moves coming up this summer. I intend to use Pack Rat 100%. If I can help it I will not only NEVER use UHAUL again (at least this location). I also will put out email broadcasts and Face Book updates to never use UHAL on Metcalf again so others know. \r \r In fact, I think you all have quite the racket going with this 3/4 full gas thing that all customers lose their shirt on. If I have time I may call KCTV Problem Solvers and have them investigate this (at best) shady business practice. I know what the UHAUL contract says but it is very slanted and (I think) unethical. UHAUL needs to gas up to full BEFORE they rent it out again so the consumer can not be penalized for too much or too little fuel...seems to me we pay no matter what unless we bring along a meter to know exactly how many gallons you used. \r \r Hope the 20 dollars in gas you took from me is worth the hundreds of people I will tell about your poor service. Maybe some common sense training and customer service training would be a good idea for Metcalf ""U-STEAL"" my new name for U-HAUL. Good luck Mr. Jeremy Boling (General Manager). By the looks of your web site there are not many satisfied comments out there. I will be the next 1-2 star evaluation for you. Pack Rat…here I come. more
