Good: Absolutely nothing.. Bad: Rude staff, long lines, wasn't really climate controlled for the price WAS NO BARGAIN!. Improvements: New staff, lower prices, better parking lot so customers can easily get to and from location.. Other: Current staff is horrible and they act like you are bothering them. If you have any issues with your storage unit or account heaven help you because you get treated like scum and garbage. It's NOT worth the free month whatsoever. They've lost me as a customer and I'll go to a competitor from now on.. more

Trucks available, even July 31st 4/17/2006

There weren't any U-Haul's available in Ames when we needed them, so the closest option was Des Moines. Pickings were even getting slim there. It was a bit of a drag to have to pay diesel costs driving between the two cities, but everything was moved in one swoop. We reserved a truck size and they had somehow messed up there weren't any that size, so we received a free upgrade which was a nice compensation. The kid running the place was a bit dorky, but competent amongst all of the lease-switching crisis. more
