Painful 6/6/2011

I called and got a $187 quote for a hitch install on late model minivan. They told me they'd have to order the hitch and set an appt for the following Tuesday. On Monday they left a message that the hitch would arrive in a week or so and that the price was now $220. I didn't hear from them for 3 weeks and when I finally got through to them (don't even get me started on thie phone system, when it finally picks up it puts you on hold for a full five minutes before transferring you to regional customer care) I asked them to confirm the price they explained it would be another $125 for the wiring (which I asked for in the beginning). At this point, they also told me I'd have to leave my car for 4 hours instead of the original 1 1/2 hours quoted. more

Great Service 4/15/2011

Staff was great and everything went well when picking up the truck. The one I received was a little dirty on the inside, but it was an older truck so that can be expected. Otherwise the truck ran fine and served its intended purpose. I did a night drop and received an invoice in my email early the next morning. All in all, everything went well. more

Ripoff artists 11/9/2009

Be sure to have them read your ending fuel tank level in front of you when you check your truck back in. When I returned mine, they told me, no need to check in, I'd receive my receipt via email. Then they proceeded to charge me for $75 worth of gas I didn't use, insisting I brought the vehicle back with 1/4 tank. It had 2/3 tank when I returned it. They will steal you blind if you let them. Go somewhere else. more

terrible customer relations 9/9/2005

You're on the phone on hold forever, and after waiting for 1/2 hr. the idiot receptionist hung up on me. They don't play music while you're on hold either, instead it's a recording promoting how great U-haul is, and telling you a rep will be with you shortly - argh@! i purchased my hitch online, otherwise i would say just forget it, but they have my money now. Beware! more
