Old School Theater 7/18/2004

This is one of the few older theaters that has not become a multiplex or slowly crumbled into dust. It's an old style theater that apparently has been remodeled so it looks great. The concessions seemed expensive but the employees were very friendly. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood which means finding parking on the weekend can be hard so show up early. The best of SF... 5/8/2003

This is the BEST single screen movie palace in SF. A real hidden treasure. Too bad more people don't go here. Also too bad bigger blockbusters aren't booked for long runs here (i.e Matrix Reloaded, etc.) But do go before it closes!!!! Save our single screen movie palaces!!! Pros: Beautiful theatre, Large, Single screen, Comfy Cons: poor staffing, no parking more

A true classic 9/16/2002

My favorite theater anywhere. We live in the Twin Cities, visit the Bay 2x a yr and always see a flick here. Great acoustics, great seats, a true big screen. One the the theaters that still actually adds to the experience. Good food and drink in the area (Union Street), too. Pros: Atmosphere, Sound, Parking more
