New BrewMaster is Great!!!! 8/16/2010

They recently got a new brewmaster and the quality of the beer has gone up significantly. Their food is great for the price and quantity not to mention the amount of options they offer. You can't beat the Wednesday night dollar pints. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the Village. It is the only brewpub left in Houston. more

Perfect for good taste on a budget 2/9/2010

Went to Tuesday $5 BIG beer $5 burger. The burger brought me to food-gasm and the beer was great and I'm not even a beer drinker. I am now in love w/ amber ales. Beware BIG beer means BIG BEER. Bring a DD or come prepared. Pros: Great Beer and better food Cons: Maccroni could use more cheese more

VILLAGE BREWERY 9/16/2009

WONDERFUL FOOD...i love the pizza and burgers! plan to hang out for a bit.. enjoy the atmosphere... TwoRows is a huge restaurant and the ONLY BREWERY IN HOUSTON. there is a SPECIAL EVERYDAY OF THE WEEK! non smoking indoors, including the bar, but the patio is huge and wraps around the side! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Village! Pros: brewery, patio, huge bar, Great food, wonderful people Cons: can get busy at night! more

I will never go again. Waitress overcharged my credit card. 6/12/2009

Good thing I keep my receipts and check them with my credit card statement. I recently found out that I was overcharged on my credit card. The bill with tip came out to 21$ yet i was charged 26$ on my credit card, basically the waitress gave herself an extra 5$ tip. Pros: 5$ pizzas on mondays Cons: I was overcharged the last time I went more

HORRIBLE food!!!! 4/14/2009

I ordered the Vegi plate, and the zuccinni and squash were so mushy that it really looked and tasted like baby food! It was horrible! I couldn't believe the ""chef"" would put something like this on my plate! Then the rest of the vegi's were raw and cold, like they didn't even attempt to cook/steam them! This is not the first time the food was unacceptable either, but this was the final straw. I think my days of going to Two Rows is limited. There are way too many other good places to eat in the Village to waist my money and time there. Pros: Good location and ambiance Cons: Food, service, and price more

Recommended for a good time 2/14/2009

It's friday night and you and your friends have nothing to do..... go to Two Rows! Pros: Beer sampler, great service Cons: Bratty Hostesess more

Don't go. 12/29/2008

A group of friends and I went to Two Rows because we heard that it was a great hang out place. We waited at the ""Please wait for the hostess to seat you"" sign for 20 minutes without seeing anyone who worked there. We decided to head to the bar and just grab a table in the bar area. We got drinks at the bar from a girl who confused rolling her eyes with smiling and sat down at a table. We never saw a waiter. After about 25-30 minutes we asked a 'porch waiter' to send the 'bar waiter' our way. After 20 more minutes I asked the girl at the bar if there was a waiter in the bar area. She said there was. I told her that we hadn't been waited on and all she did was shrug her shoulders. They closed 5 minutes later (at midnight). We were in there for over 2 hours, never saw a waiter, and had only one drink that we got ourselves. more

If I'd work like that, I'd never get any tips. 11/3/2008

Best place to watch sports and enjoyed micro brewed beer! 3/29/2008

Best place to watch sports in Houston! Any night of the week is a good night to go to TwoRows, I mainly like to go on Wednesday for the $1.00 handcrafted beer special. The food is tasty as well not your typical sports bar food, the staff is always warm and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends, what I like it about it the most it's kind of off beaten path away from the crowd of people who don't appreciate a sports bar. Pros: GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE FRIENDLY STAFF! Cons: PARKING CAN SOMETIMES BE A PAIN BUT, TWOROWS ALWAYS PAY FOR YOUR PARKING! more

Worst service ever!! 4/30/2007

I will give this place an ok for food but their service is beyond horrible. Pros: Food/drinks ok. Walking distance in Rice Village Cons: Service is horrible! more

Worst I've been to in Houston! 4/30/2007

We decided to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday here so that we could barhop afterwards, plus neither of us had eaten there. HUGE MISTAKE! Pros: NONE!, perhaps location? Cons: horrible food, apathetic and negligent service more

beer lover's heaven 3/15/2007

I only go to this place a few times out of the year but every time I go, but I have a wonderful time. Wed nights has been $1 pint night for as long as I can remember and is my favorite night to go but they do tend to be a little busy and you have to wait for a seat and the servers have the bad habit of forgetting about you. The crowd is mostly the college aged, but you'll still have a good time if you go even if you're out of college. Pros: great microbrews Cons: slow servers...snooty Rice students more

Still a favorite....after all this time 11/20/2006

I've been going to Two Rows for many years now. It isn't necessarily a ""regular"" hang-out of sorts, but it seems to always fall in the line of a good place to go for various reasons. I like the food, I like the beer and cocktails, and I like the atmosphere. It is relaxed, close to me, and fun. The prices are good and it is close to other bars or things to do! more

Eat Elsewhere but drink here, and expect slow service. 7/30/2006

We showed up for dinner around 7:30 and it was not very busy yet, while it did get busier as the evening progressed, the atmosphere was good for a small group to have dinner and converse with one another. Now, let me start by saying the beer was pretty darn good. While they were out of the first 3 selections I asked about, the other two I tried were easy to consume microbrews. The food on the other hand is horrible. We started with a low quality seafood fondue which had the consistency of and taste of mushroom soup. Don't just stay away from this, run when you are able to smell it two tables away. We also had a sampler appetizer plate which I think was freezer burned wings and such, microwaved from your local freezer section. I had a burger as my meal selection. My burger was overcooked, incredibly dry and completely flavorless. This should not have been the case since ordered it rare. It was obvious that my burger was placed under the heat lamps while the rest of my partys food cooked, as the plate was scolding hot when it was delivered to the table and no one elses was. I would have sent it back, but it was so infrequent that we saw our server that my group would have finished their food before I was able too send it back. And while we are on the subject of the service, 3 requests for appetizer plates to 2 different people went unfulfilled, as did our request for catsup and refills on water. The only quick response we received from our waiter was after he dropped the credit card slip off, he was back 10 seconds later for his pen because it was the only one he had. The chocolate fantasy dessert I was told was very good with a surprise coconut taste that made it very enjoyable. I shared the key lime pie which was average and a relatively small portion compared to the price they charge. Overall if you are looking for a nice atmosphere and good microbrew beer, you found the place, but eat before you come here. Pros: Atmosphere, Beer Cons: Parking, Service, Food more

Good food and beer 2/23/2006

This place has the food quality/price of a Chilis or Friday's with the added bonus of micro-brewed beer. As with any place, they do certain dishes very well and others are average. The dining area atmosphere/service is good and the bar area is good for sports events and meeting friends. It gets crowded in there, so be a little early for a particular TV event. It's a great location since there are so many other hotspots within walking distance. Pros: Atmosphere, Menu slection more

great food and beer 2/7/2003

this place is awesome. first time here just relocated from denver to houston. the ribs were very good and the route 66 amber ale was probably the best beer ive had since ive been in texas. this is definately worth a try. the night i was there it was packed with rockets fans so get there early. more

Two Rows Blows 1/21/2003

I have been to Two Rows several times since moving back to Houston 2 years ago. I have tried many items on the menu and they have all sucked. For example, I went for lunch once and they gave me microwaved, dry hamburger. Another time, I got Buffalo chicken strips and they tasted ""fishy"". Please spare yourself disappointment, and don't order anything there that is ""tex-mex"". They try to pass themselves off as a restaurant/bar, but they have bar quality food. I normally love microbrewed beer (being a home brewer myself), but the beer here is nothing to write home about. It's cheap on Wednesday nights, though! This place has so much potential, but they don't try because of their location. They know they are going to get the business, so why improve. Pros: t.v. quantity Cons: parking, food quality, beer quality more

Great beer, good food. 7/31/2002

If your looking for a brew pub with a fun atmosphere and cheap beer on Thursday nights or great place to get a sandwich for lunch, check out Two Rows. You won't be disapointed. Pros: Microbrewed Beer, Great Drink Specials, Excellent Appetizers Cons: Weekend parking more
