Two Men And A Truck

The worst movers that I have ever had. They showed up late and when they did arrive they were tired. The main mover had a limp and the help stood around and watched. They only completed half the move. They stopped somewhere and add time to transit when the job was on an hourly rate. They destroyed the plastic cover on the mattress making the mattress open to the elements in storage and didn't put the drawers back in the dresser. They didn't know how to pack a storage unit. They talked on the phone for at least 1 hour out of 4 hour move and left before they were done. They tried to steal my tools. more

5 STARS + !!! I have never been so amazed with a local company as I am with Two Men and A Truck! I was so nervous at first because I have never used movers before and let me tell you that I did a ton of research before deciding which company to choose but I am glad I did. First of all, the reps on the phone are so incredibly nice and they are HONEST!!! They told me the absolute final price. Other companies I called kept trying to change the prices on me and kept adding fees but Two Men and A Truck were up front from the start. The guys who showed up were so punctual that they actually got there an hour early and they finished moving everything in 2 hours which was my deadline. They were so polite and professional and it just made my experience so pleasant. Another plus? They fit everything into my tiny storage unit when I didn't think it was possible. They came, they loaded/unloaded and were the friendliest movers and moving company I have ever encountered. I have to hire movers in my business on a regular basis, but this time it is for a personal move. I called and spoke with Matt thinking I was calling the Two Men and a Truck in Round Rock. I had no idea there are multiple locations franchised out! That was a huge mistake on my part!! I take full blame. If I would have reached my RR local who coincidently also have a Matt who works for them I would not be writing this review right now..or it would be quite the opposite. Where do I begin??? Lets see, from the beginning, I call thinking I'm getting my regular guys. So I do not ask what their rates and minimums are..nor does Matt at the Research Blvd location offer this information to me. I schedule movers to move out 7 to 8 pcs of furniture in my house for ""staging"" purposes and to my storage location right outside of my subdivision, 1 mile away. We are done in 40 minutes maybe another 15 to unload. Btw..Curtis and Marcus my movers are amazing and very respectful and couteous and took care of my belongings. When presented with a bil 3 times what I expected I have them get ""Matt"" on the phone. He tells me he does not remember my call specifically but I must have said ""I'm a repeat customer, etc etc"" and that he had no need to quote me his rates...wth? Then further into the conversation he says that he does his job very well and he always gives quotes before he ""hangs up from a client call""...make up your mind Matt! He then tells me he does his job very well..yeah whatever..if he had this would have been avoided. He also tells me he emailed me a quote and confirmation...what a joke. I get it one and a half hours AFTER my scheduled move! I called to settle the misunderstanding...he told me services were rendered and due. Well Matt your rudeness has cost your company my repeat business and my two large moves after my current house sells and my new house is built. You cannot be rude to clients on the phone and say things like ""oh you are right and I am wrong"" then threaten to get your fees in other ways. What other ways are you referring to? Is that a threat? Thank goodness none of my items were damaged...I would hate to have to deal with the customer service in their office and management team. Beware of this location...and furthermore. This location is $20 more and hour and charges a ""trip fee of $50 and require a 2 hour minimum. Call another mover that does not have all of these EXTRA fees. more

Recently, I moved from south Austin to north Austin. I thought it would cost a small fortune since I moved up three flights of stairs. I had two movers arrive promptly as scheduled. These two men never stopped. They were extremely professional. When I tried to help and move something, they asked me to let them do their job. I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know. Two Men and a Truck was the worst and most dishonest service I've ever received. The two men we hired broke an antique desk, and instead of telling us, they used wood glue to repair it. We found it with the glue dripping down the side. When we confronted them, they had nothing to say. They were caught in the middle of their dishonesty. They also stole some very valuable and sentimental jewelry. I will NEVER use them again or recommend them to anyone. Cons: dishonest, deceitful, disappointing. more

Two Men & A Truck did an excellent job moving my things into my new house. The two men who came out were friendly, they were on time, they worked hard and fast but they were very careful and didn't damage anything or lose anything. The company charges a truck fee plus an hourly fee (in my case $90 for the truck and $90 per hour). In the end, they used less time than estimated so my bill was less than expected. FYI, I recommend scheduling an early morning move?you want to get your movers when they're well rested, not after they've already moved someone earlier in the day. FOUR STARS ISN""T ENOUGH!!! :) My husband and I bought our first house after being in an apartment for 3 years and we had a lot of stuff, the girl on the phone answered all my questions before I ever had to aske them, unlike the other movers I called Two Men and a Truck doesn't have ANY extra charges, I thought that was amazing. I was worried that all of my stuff wouldn't fit in one truck, she was confident that it would be said not to worry that since we were moving locally that if it didn't they would just come back and get the rest of it when they were finished unloading my stuff at the my new home and there was no additional charge for that either! They packed the truck so well that they used every inch of space and everything fit in the first time though, like she said. The moves were friendly professional and ontime and took very good care of my items, the truck was very nice and clean and they even padded all of my furniture for free! This was the best money I have ever spent, they even came in under their estimate! I would recommend them to anyone,(as you can see)! They are moving my sister next week!
