Two Blondes & A Shrimp

Let me start off saying the prices are reasonable and the food okay...but you will have wait a long time for the hostess to seat. And God forbid you don't have a reservation, bc if they are full, they are very very rude to people who don't have reservations. We had them, but the people in line behind us did not and I was appalled at how rude the waitress/hostess. She made a big deal of going through their reservation book and was loudly grumbling. finally, the bartender came over and calmed her down but still turned away the couple. There were empty tables inside and out, and I never did see all the tables get seated but I guess full is full. Anyway, we waited a while for our food which was okay when it came and we waited for our check which was moderate when it finally came. Personally, I wouldn't eat here again. The atmosphere, service, and food is much better at the German restaurant down the street. more

The atmosphere and service are fabulous. The service is great. I had a blond Swedish server. Her accent added to the overall experience. But the food was surprising, it was not just good, but truly excellent! I would have been willing to pay double for the food! It is a little small on the inside, but if the weather is warm they have breezeway seating outside with a live rooster wondering about to keep you company! I had eaten here before when it was The Blue Dahlia and was disappointed when it left the scene. I was talking to the server and mentioned how great the food had been and she informed me that Chef Mark was still here. The artsy atmosphere is great, the server was excellent aand entertainment is a nice extra for the price. BUT, it comes down to food...and they STILL HAVE IT!! I asked to meet him and, what a nice guy. He ought to be on a TV show. Pros: Eclectic atmosphere Cons: Not enough interior seating more
