Every Thursday there is a new band playing on the Santa Monica Pier. The concerts start around 7:30pm and usually attract a lot of people. You can pick up a picnic package from Ma Kai or just bring some of your own food. The concert are mostly really good, the city actually bring very talented (and sometimes famous musicians). A lot of people have hang out on the beach. Very good crowd, very social, and fun. A must for a visitor in Santa Monica, also a must for a local. See you there. ....another thing, the concerts are free.
