The Scene
Years ago, when the site of the Twenty Nine Pines Golf Course was first picked as the site for a new course, the owner insisted that despite what happened to the other foliage, all the pine trees be saved during landscaping. A wacky, "Three's Company"-esque misunderstanding ensued, and all non-pines got axed--leaving only, yes, 29 pines to cover the whole course. There are more trees now, and Twenty Nine Pines has evolved into a great family course. Golfers would be well served not to get distracted by the vegetation, though, and should watch for fairly flat terrain with small, rolling hills and wide fairways.
