A Dream Come True for Train Loving Kids 4/13/2006

My boys absolutely loved our visit to Tweetsie Railroad. We went specifically to ride Thomas The Train for the Day out With Thomas. We rode Thomas twice. The boys loved it as the Thomas theme song played as we were riding. During one of our rides, there was an Indian on board our car and he jumped off to fight some cowboys! The kids loved that! We met Sir Topham Hat, and got pictures made with him and Thomas. We were pleasantly surprised to realize that this place was also a little theme park. The kids enjoyed riding the rides after spending time with Thomas. more

Great Family Destination 10/17/2005

Our family has been going to Tweetsie for as long as I can remember. Tweetsie Railroad offers something for everyone. They have many amusement rides, gem mining, games, petting zoo, saloon shows, and the most fun train ride you can ever take. The prices are reasonable and they are open from Spring thru early November. If you enter the park after 3:00 PM daily, you get free entrance the next day. The people are friendly and it is wonderful as a day trip for the whole family to enjoy!! more

Fun for the whole family, Tweetsie is a park nestled in the in the beautiful scenic mountains of North Carolina. You can ride the train and see Indians and Cowboys, or see the many attractions like the rain maker, blacksmith, and dancers and singers. You can even mine for gold at the old gold mine, or enjoy the many rides and petting zoo. So much to do here, the family will want to visit again and again... more
