Wow...I can't believe no one's reviewed this one.
This is none other than the world famous Mar-T cafe featured in the cult TV series "Twin Peaks".
Twede's is an interesting mix of locals and pilgrims. Sure you get the occasional groups that are passing through - say to go skiiing up at Snoqualmie Pass or something, but there's always a bunch of town regulars there - sittin' at the bar drinking coffee. Or perhaps hanging out at one of the booths. The pilgrims come from all over the world - most notably the Czech Republic and Korea. I guess the show is very pupular there. Often you'll see these pilgrims out on the street backing into the street in order to get a good picture of the place.
As for the food, it's pretty good. Aside from the pie and coffee (which is good at any place that goes through a lot of it) there's really no real special cuisine. The have a large selection of burgers - you can even subsitute the meat for a veggie patty. They make good shakes and malts. The place is very kid friendly with lots of Tweety Birds up on the walls.
Breakfasts are large. And unless they're crowded, the service is usually quick and friendly.
As for the price, they're not as cheap as you'd want. For breakfast, two adults and one kid costs about $25. I'd say that's a medium price.
They have a website if you'd like to see more detail on the place at http://twedescafe.com/.
