I have always liked going to the Tulsa Opera. Tulsa has really done a lot with their productions. They always do classics such as La Traviata, Barber of Seville, and the like. The performers are always top notch and they usually bring in well known singers. The prices are pretty good, you can get a good seat on the middle level for around $40.00 or so (I like that level anyway). The sound is obviously wonderful because the singers use no amplification, that is all lung that is filling up the hall. I just love getting dressed up, especially during the holidays, to attend performances at the PAC. more

Tulsa Opera brings world-class singers to Tulsa 8/1/2005

One thing I have to give Tulsa Opera credit for... they know that the classics are what we love. Most of the ensemble is comprised of local talent, but they usually bring in famous singers to sing the leads. Their sets are ALWAYS amazing... worth seeing that alone. And their ticket prices are such a wide range... it can fit into almost every budget. more
