Tulsa Boat Sales

hauled my boat to Tulsa from Lake Hudson in April to TBS. Told them it was not powering up on the water for past year and finally quit starting at all. They put in a new switch box for $670 and tell me it was only running on three cyls as reason for no power. Spend some time rebuilding benches on boat and finally get it back in water at end of June in anticipation of visitors coming July 4. Starts fine, will not idle under load in water, nor will it achieve over 2K rpm. Pulled the cowling off and looked it over inspecting choke assy to ensure it working properly. Trip back to Tulsa at end of July. Now he wants to rebuild carbs for $350. After two weeks I call them to inquire, it is ready. Said they had to wait on choke mechanism. Did he break it? They insist no. Was working fine before I took it in. Checked the water discharge and plenty of water exiting. Picked it up yesterday at cost of $382? No explanation for increase. Hooked it up to my water ears this morning and guess what? No water exiting power head. Called them back and inquire as to them running without water and the owner swears they never do that. Strange to me that it was pumping fine before I took it in after two trips to Tulsa, and supposedly it was working fine while he performed maint. on it. Then suddenly between leaving TBS and my house the impeller evidently fails? BS. They deny any problem and offer no resolution. Also on first trip had transom support holding motor up but it is gone when I pick it up and get back home. Called them about it they offered nothing for the missing support. Would not recommend them to anyone. more

TBS put a water pump impeller in my boat motor and it didn t work. I brought the boat in for prevenative maintance, the pump worked fine. When I put it in the water it didn t work. I was at Lake Eufaula so I took it to the Honda dealer at the lake. They replaced the water pump impeller and we enjoyed the weekend. I went back to Tulsa Boat Sales in Tulsa and the owner said he would not refund a dime. My boat worked, I took it to Tulsa Boat Sales and then it didn t work. Took it to a local dealer at the lake and he put an impeller in and it ran fine. TBS said I should have loaded it up, hauled it 100 miles back to TBS and he would have fixed it, then tow it back to my dock at Eufaula Lake (this would cost me at least $100 in gas and cancel my trip that we planned for weeks) . They will not stand behind their work if you take it out of town and get their mistake fixed by an authorized dealer. Wasted about $250 dollars, I asked for 1/2 return, he shouldn t make a profit if they broke my boat. Bottom line.....they not only didn t fix my motor they made so I couldn t drive it at all then said it s your problem. I spent hours being towed at the lake, hours getting their mistake fixed, spent hours getting it back in the water, never heard I m sorry We will make it right with you just excuses. I don t care if it was done wrong, the part was defective, there was a blizzard, what ever. Tulsa Boat Sales worked on my great running boat and we could no longer drive it. They shoud be professional, ethical and honest ....and treat customers right. This is just all kinds of wrong, but it does show the owners true character. \r more

This is the place to go to buy a new boat. They know what the boats will and will not do and will give you the information you need to get the right boat. Incrediblae number of boats in stock. We learned more at this store than everywhere else combined and had several lines to chose from. more

This was a great buying experience. We got a great deal and they were very helpful and they did everything we asked of them. \r \r We have purchased several boats in the past this is our 3rd with Tulsa Boat Sales and I would recommend anyone to go there if they are looking for honest down to earth people. \r \r Would certainly recommend them to anyone!!! more
