I made the unfortunate error of having Tuffy repair several issues with my vehicle. I had spent nearly $2000 on getting the air conditioning fixed along with other repairs. As the cold weather came I realized the heat did not work. They charged me to check out the problem and gave me an outrageous quote and 6 weeks to get the proper part to repair the heat. Needless to say, another mechanic repaired in a few hours for 1/3 the price that Tuffy quoted (and just for the part). If you are looking for reliable mechanics and reasonable prices Tuffy's is NOT the place to go. more

Do NOT use Tuffy on Military Ave!!! 7/13/2009

Took our car to this Tuffy location. They took our car for a test drive after the repair and the mechanic ran a yellow light and got T-Bone!!! They did not handle the situation like normal people whose at fault would. They wanted our car off their lot ASAP. Would not take our car or let us take the car to go get it estimated for the damage they caused until we paid them. We had to pay $950 for the repair they did. Our car was $1000 away from being salvaged (car value $7000). The owner was the one who was dealing with us the whole time. He was not co-operative at all. There are better places to take your car to get fixed. Whatever you do, please do not use Tuffy on Military. more

Horrible repair shop. 9/11/2005

Mechanics either don't know what they are talking about or are just looking to rip you off. I took my car there to get the exhaust looked at and they said it was not repairable. I had two mechanics lie right to my face. It would have costed me over $450 to get one pipe replaced. I took it somewhere else where I only paid $50 to get it repaired. When shopping around for auto repair I would highly recommend skipping this place. more
