TWC is a wonderful place to hold a wedding reception in Richmond- I could not have imagined having my reception anywhere else now that I have had the chance to compare it to other venues in the area.\r

The outside of the building is classy brick, but still simple and unassuming- landscaping is also pristine. Little decoration is needed to make the inside of the space beautiful, because the classic colonial furnishings and details speak for themselves. There is a side parlor, a huge ballroom, as well as an outdoor garden flanking the building. If you are worried about overflow inside, the side garden is the perfect place for an extra bar and some tables. The stage is huge and off the ground (perfect for a DJ or band), so as not to interfere with the expansive dance space.\r

TWC allows you to bring in your own caterer, which can significantly cut down on cost, seeing as most venues lock you in to expensive contracts with their selected caterers. Outside alcohol is also permitted.\r
\r
The only downsides are that you must pay a security guard, and be sponsored by a member of the club in order to reserve the venue for your reception. Also, the lady we worked with at TWC was responsive and helpful, but was by no means an event coordinator, so you are essentially on your own when it comes to the planning and layout (which some brides-to-be may prefer).\r
\r
Sparklers are not permitted.\r

Overall, a gorgeous setting for your wedding!
Pros: Gorgeous venue, Can use own caterer
Cons: Security required, must be ""sponsored"" to rent out
