I read another review stating that tsunami was expensive and unimpressive. Good is never a word that I would use to describe tsunami, it's incredible. I've been a regiular customer there for quite some time now. The point of tsunami is not to be described as trying to be elegant. So many restaurants are intimidating to so many customers. People want an environment where they can not only be comfortable but also have outstanding original dishes. Regarding the prices, Tsunami's seafood is flown in fresh almost everyday and I can guarantee that's not the case at the other 'good' restaurant this frustrated customer spoke of. Also as a regular there, I can vouch that no customers have juststood around 10 min before being noticed. Servers, hosts, any employee always adresses a customer and either seats them or tells them someone will be right with them. I've been there enough to witness high volume nights. The only way a member of the staff may be 'chatting' in the kitchen is if the kitchen is closed and it's after 10 pm and it's no longer necessary for the host to be on duty. I've seen many of customers come in after the kitchen has closed and not understand why they can't get dinner. This sounds like an inconsiderate person who has no conception of the fact that servers are not servants. Tsunami has excellent choices and a small plate menu that changes nightly to add constant diversity. The small plate menu also provides a smaller still generous portion size and prices around $14. It's a wonderful reasonable option for anyone that's looking for breakout and inovative cuisine. Tsunami is what it is after 10 years thanks to an incredible staff and an always impressive experience. I love it!
