Best

I'm always amazed with the selection of plant material I can find at Tsugawa's. For bonsai, fruit trees, asian vegetables and maples it's the best place to go in the Northwest.

Worst

If you can get someone to answer the phone, the person that does usually can't help and must find someone else. If they put you on hold....good luck.

Excellent Service 4/21/2010

Excellent selection, excellent service. We bought 5 trees all are doing well very healthy. We buy all our spring flowers from them. My Uncle recommended them to me. He lives in New York but vacations on the West coast every year and always makes it a point to visit Tsugawa's. He writes book on Bonsi and connifers and talks very highly of the staff. He said they are one of the best places to find Bonsi experts. more

Going downhill fast... 8/13/2009

As a long time customer, I came in looking for a specific plant that was needed in a short amount of time. After speaking with several employees, they told me to speak to the cashier. A lady named Karen took the information of what I was looking for (seemed inconvenienced by doing so) and said the manager Brian would call me. Never heard from him, even after several follow-up calls. Very dissapointed in this nursery. more

Terrible Customer Service 8/6/2009

Great selection and quality of plants. Spent a sizable amount of money on trees and shrubs and expected better customer service. Our interactions with "Lisa" have been less than stellar because her customer service skills are horrible. She always has a scowl and blamed us for some of their trees dying after a few months of being planted. We have since discovered Pollock and Sons nursery in Battle Ground and have been very happy. Great customer service and half the price of Tsugawa's. more

What a joke. 5/28/2009

Seriously, what a messed up place to do business with. I think the employees try hard, but if you want to talk to someone in charge, good luck. The one Tsugawa I talked to (a lady), initially said she was in charge, but then shirked all responsibility when there was a decision to be made. Talk about poor customer service. Wouldn't shop here again. more

Tsugawa is a great place to come when your looking for something unique and different. They carry lots of things most nurseries don't. Their friendly staff is eager to help, but their prices are a bit high. more

The best place for plants and other landscaping needs! 8/18/2005

All my friends and family members know that if they go to the island of Kauai they MUST see it by air. A majority of the island cannot be seen any other way. This company has fantastic employees who are friendly and full of the aloha spirit. It was easy to reserve a tour. The pilot was very informative. I have lived on this island for 6 years and he showed me things I had no idea existed! They also give you a tour of famous movie sites...like the waterfall in the opening sequence to Jurassic Park. Good fun but bring motion sickness pills! more

  • Celebrating 30 years, Tsugawa Nursery is a family owned and operated business. The Tsugawa family began berry farming in Woodland, Washington in 1947. George and Mable Tsugawa were married in 1950 and raised six children. The Tsugawa family worked hard together to make their farm successful, initially growing strawberries. In January 1981, the Tsugawa family purchased a defunct nursery in Woodland. They opened Tsugawa Nursery in March of 1981 with very little nursery stock but plenty of vision for things to come. The Nursery has grown and become well established as the area's best place to shop for garden and landscape plants and supplies.
