And the staff, while friendly, didn't seem to operate with any sense of efficiency. more

Wouldn't come back. Nice atmosphere, interesting menu with a wide variety but the descriptions of the food were more exciting than the food itself more

Went there at 5PM on the day of the Delray Bike Race. The location is pretty nice and the service good. The food, however, was not very good. The fish dip was very dry and really lacked much flavor. Serving it with large bland crackers and a some canned jalapenos didn't help. Smoked fish dip shouldn't taste like tuna fish salad without enough mayo.\r Then I had the fish and chips and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. I've never had F&C that was salty...but this was over the top. The fries were crispy and good and not at all salty. My wife had fish tacos that were decent, but nothing special. The fish and chips came with fries and nothing else like tartar sauce or even a garnish. There was no bread or anything similar brought to the table.. All in all it was not a great dinner and when dinner for 2 with tip costs $70 it should be better. more

Gastro-pub style food with fantastic service. I've gone several times for the happy hour bar specials...reasonable prices and great food. I've had the pad thai, the fish and chips, both were amazing! I take friends here whenever anyone visits from out of town. Great atmosphere, super knowledgeable staff. Draft beer from all over the world!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more

My wife and I are visiting Delray for the week. Some local friends recommended Tryst. The food, service, and atmosphere were just what we were looking for. Molasses glazed lamb chops and the scallops are a must. more

The place has a great feel; probably due to the bar manager Jason who cares as much about food and beverage as his knowledge of beers, which is outstanding. Just ask him and you will not only have a fantasitic experience, but you will also learn. Food is a good match for the extensive and excellent beer offerings and wine choices. I prefer the inside room, but the outdoor patio is a nice extra. more

Tryst is the best place you will find on the Avenue. Food is excellent, drinks even better. Everything from the atmosphere to the amazing people behind the bar - Tryst cannot be surpassed. \r If you want to escape from the Jersey Shore atmosphere of other establishments go to Tryst. A great mix of locals from all over the Palm Beaches and visitors that are cultured and respectful. Great outdoor space if you like to sit outside as well.\r It does get packed on the weekends but, I assure you that you're in for a great night. more

This place is so cool. Great music, great food, great service. AMazing wine list and beers! The ambience is cozy, village-like neighborhood place with a gourmet twist. Very eclectic menu, only thing I would change is adding a few more vegetarian selections but really, I love this restaurant! more

Food and service were spot on. The name makes no sense for a gastropub and I could do without the washroom attendant. more

I have been a regular at tryst on Friday nights for a while now (great beer and cool staff make the place a popular spot for young kids 21-30 in the area). I just recently ate dinner there for the first time an I was amazed. Food was delicious! more

Have gone to Tryst at least 5 times and have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere - funky/artsy - like a great neighborhood bar/restaurant. Happy hour is always packed - great small meals at the bar. Dinners are great - have never had a bad meal there. Less "do you know who I am" atmosphere then other places in Delray. more

Great beer menu, including Chimay on tap and lots of Dogfish Head options. Looking forward to trying the food another day. more

We were 6 people last night. The service was excellent, but the food needs some help. Two of us ordered skirt steak. It was tough and chewy. It should have been marinated. There was no bread on the table. We had to ask 3 times to get something that looked like left over from lunch. 3 of us had the salmon, which was very good, but one person ordered a fish that was on the menue which they did not have. He got a small piece of another fish they recomended. It was so small that he walked away hungry. He is not a big eater. When he asked for another piece he was told there was no more and he was offered a dessert instead . He wanted food not dessert. Indoors the place is noisy, it is basicly a bar, but it was too cold for us out doors.Prices are not cheap. We have had better meals in Del Ray. more

I love this place. The Manager, bar and wait staff, and chef made a 35pp party move smoothly and they catered to our every need. This newly renovated bar/restaurant is one of the best hotspots on Atlantic Ave in Delray and will soon be your favorite too. more
