I have been going to see Laura at Triko Salon for several years. She is great at cut and color (hard to find someone great at both sometimes). The group there give great cutomer service. I highly recommend it! more

I needed a new stylist since my old one had moved out of state. I noticed this salon because I often get my car washed right across the street. So, the light bulb turned on -- Why not get my hair done while my car gets washed? I booked an appointment for last Thursday with Miko, who also happens to be one of the owners. This was not only the BEST haircut I've had, but it was also the most FUN I've ever had with a stylist. Miko is a riot!! How one can be so entertaining and still produce the best hair is beyond me. My hair seems to have the hardest time retaining color, so I usually choose a medium/dark brown. What difference does it make, it'll fade in a couple days! I have always loved the goth black that's morbid and dreary but have never been able to get it. Miko assured me that the black he has would stay. That said, I agreed. After the color, he trimmed my hair, gave my cut some shape and texturized it. And he did the most amazing blowdry -BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL!!!! It's been a week now and my color still looks like Elvira's. I couldn't ask for anything better. On one of my trips to visit my boyfriend in South Orange County, I was referred to Jaime Schnicker for a new cut and color. I was hesitant at first, because I've been going to the same stylist in Northern California for years and was afraid to try something new. I have been a client wih JTipton now TriKo for several years. During this time, I have received great service, with wonderful cuts from two of the stylists- Laura and Vincent. Both of these stylists, as well as the stylists whom they train, are attentive, creative - but most of all patient. more

I had extensions put in a few weeks ago and they are great. I had Emily do them, she did a great job. I was looking for an affordable option that didn't look cheap so she put in a few hair peices and a few individual strands. She attached everything by these little tubes that you dont even notice, and the best part is the hair is reusable(she says for a year so we will see) but they look amazing I am super happy and I only spent $600, plus it will be cheaper when I get them tightened because i already have the hair now. Jtipton Salon is great! I have to admit Laura has been a family friend for quite some time. I was unsure if I wanted to have her do my hair only for the fact that it may create conflict. I decided to try it and I couldnt be more pleased. I have never had my hair look this great. Laura gave me the greatest haircut. I just moved here from New York. I went on city search and found Jtipton salon. I was really nervous to try something new...but I knew I couldnt keep going all the way to New York. I called and was put with Laura. I decided just to try a haircut first to see if I liked it...and Laura was amazing. I decided to go back the following week for my color. Laura gave me the best highlights I had ever gotten. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. She is so great and I just cant stop talking about how great I look and feel. My sister in law recommended I try this little salon in Newport, I was bored with my hair and needed something fresh. I went to Emily Hutchinson and she gave me a beautiful haircut. Took my long boring hair and gave me great layers, highlights and she lightened my natural color a bit. The outcome is beautiful, I feel like I am ready for the red carpet everymornming haha. I would saw if you need a pick-me-up or a new style Emily is someone you can more than trust. The salon nice, it's smaller (i would saw less than 10 stylists), and it's surrounded by a bunch of bussiness plazas (not your typical strip mall). They have karastase treatments which I would completely recommend, makes your hair feel unbeleivable. Ok I am starting to sound like an info-mertial. I would just highly recommend Emily, period. I just moved to the area and was looking for a new stylist. I had my hair cut at another salon and it was just not right - not a good cut. I looked for someone who was Sasoon trained as well as used Kerastase products. I am very picky about my hair. I read the reviews here and went to J Tipton to get a consult on how to fix my cut. I went in and I got to see Jaime. It was my lucky day. She was awesome. She is Sasoon and Toni and Guy trained. She took her time analyzing my hair and listening to my concerns. She was so nice and really listened to what I had to say. Jaime recut my hair and it is amazing ! I absolutely love it ! I have short hair and she did an excellent precision cut. She recommended products which made my hair even better. I have very fine hair and it never has texture. However with her cut and recommended products it does ! I now have a stylish edgy cut which is exactly what I wanted. I have random people stop me and tell me they like my haircut. I live about 60 miles away but will definitely only let Jaime cut my hair from now on. She is well worth the drive. If you want an amazing haircut (plus she is really really nice too !) I went to Jamie. I came in with bleached, very blond and damaged hair so she had to be careful because of my fragile hair, I walked out of there, with a new look, I am dark brown now and my hair looks much healthier and shinnier. I love it, I found a new hairdresser!! I highly recommend Jamie, because she really cares and believes people should have healthy looking hair. She really took her time with me and has a great eye for color and imagination to make your hair fun. Pros: Clean, Friendly, Professional, they sell great hair products more

I found this salon through citysearch and asked for a stylist that uses Schwarzkopf dye, they set me with Emily. She did amazing job, I was blonde already (alittle brassy) but I wanted to be more blonde and a lighter less brassy color for summer. Emily did exactly what I asked for and didn't damage my hair at all. I wanted to go short with my cut at first, she suggested I stay long but add bangs instead and I am so pleased with the end result. Sometimes we just have to trust the proffesionals. We recently relocated back to Orange County and needed to find a hairstylist that we could trust. Jaime is amazing she really understands hair and knows how to pick the right style and highlights that make your hair look awesome and natural at the same time. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. Jaime has helped turn my hair around to repair old damage and made my hair look better than ever. In fact, I recently had her put in extensions while I am trying to grow my hair out and absolutely love them! I even talked my husband into letting her try a new shorter my stylish cut for him and he looks great! I just moved here from NYC and have short hair; so I was very nervous about finding a new stylist here in orange county. I looked at citysearch and saw that JTIPTON had excellent ratings. I made an appointment with Vincent and walked out with a terrific cut and very natural looking highlights (which is what I wanted). He listens to what you want before he starts and then takes the time to explain everything before he starts. Vincent and his assistent went out of their way to welcome me to the area and gave me tons of great info and tips about my new neighborhood (which was such an excellent bonus)! I have lived in Orange County my whole life. Then I recently moved to San Diego, and still could not find a salon that I loved. I am very picky and had a hard time finding a hairdresser I can trust. So I went to Vicent, and I am so happy I did. The salon itself is very professional, fun, chic, and full of people that truely love their job. The service I receive from Vicent is top notch. He really listens to what I want, he is very attentive, professional, and just a wonderful person overall. My hair always looks beautiful when I leave. The cut and highlights always look classy and natural. I receive so many compliments wherever I go on my hair. I am never going anywhere else. Vincent is a true talent in what he does. There is no one that I know that can do it better. more

Laura Sandercock has been styling my hair for about 3 years, and I have never in my life known a hair stylist with the talent and professionalism she has. I love my hair each and everytime she does it. Because I'm not the most stylish person, I decided after my first few haircuts/colors, to allow her to do whatever she wants each time. I put so much trust in her because she knows what looks good, but she also knows what I don't want, and she honors that. She listens to my likes and dislikes, and she's does what I ask. She won't take her own opinions about my hair and do something I don't want, unlike many stylists out there. I was always a simple person but Laura's haircuts have given me so much more style, and I am so thankful to have found someone as talented as her. I've been going to Laura for a few years now and would not trust anyone else with my hair other than her. I am constantly telling my friends and family who aren't happy with their current stylist to go see her. She conducts herself in a 100% professional manner and is always available to take me for an appointment at the time I arrive (doesn't make me wait while she finishes with other clients). I have followed Emily from South Coast Plaza to Irvine and now to Newport. I would follow her anywhere. She not only does great color corrections (i had a friend dye my hair once and it was a nightmare emily fixed it no problem), but super easy to style cuts and she just put some extensions in my hair. The extensions are a little pricey but my hair is fine and I could never get it to grow this long naturally. Emily is totally nice and always listens to what I want. I have sent many friends to her and they are all just as happy! Pros: hair you will always love Cons: i have to drive from la to orange county, but hey its worth it more

I went to J Tipton as a recomendation from a friend. The first time I came in, i wanted cut and color. Laura Sandercock had just finished doing hair extensions on the client ahead of me and they looked fabulous. I told her i had been thinking about getting them for a long time, but didn't know if they would look good on me. She was so informative, even on the downfalls and the benefits. She cut and colored my hair as planned, and i told her i would think about the extensions. A week later i came in and got them done and couldn't be more thankful. I went and got my hair done by Janna last night, and I absoultely LOVE IT! I've had long, long hair for the past eight years. I just got married and quit smoking, and I felt I needed a change. Janna was VERY helpful with what color and cut would look best with my skin tone and features. She is very knowledgable in her craft. I was a little apprehensive cutting my hair so short and having never been to this particular salon before, but I left on such a high. Janna is not only very talented, but she's such a sweet soul. It is a bit on the pricey side, but I thought it was money well spent. I highly recommend this salon and especially Janna Tipton. more

My maid of honor and I had our hair and makeup done at JTIPTON for my wedding. The staff was exceptional, and very friendly. Our hair looked wonderful and not like generic ""wedding hair"" (my maid of honor looked ready for the red carpet, she was so glamorous). I got exactly what I wanted, I felt sexie, natural looking, and gorgeous. The makeup artist is phenomenal. I was REALLY happy with JTIPTON and would recommend them without reservation.
