I can't be happier with Manhattan Beach Movers's performance. The crew was AMAZING!!! They treated my things as if they were their own. Nothing was damaged and they set up my bed in literally a couple of minutes! AMAZING!!!! I was moving to a 2ND floor walk up and I never heard a gripe or groan from anyone on the crew! Manhattan Beach Movers helped move us to Houston 2 weeks back and really did a great move for us. We were reluctant to hire a company off the internet and considered a few of the large van lines but when we factored costs in we really did not have a choice. We had 2 in house estimates and they were off the chart and well over our budget so we went online and got about 30 more literally and we found Manhattan Beach Movers on this particular website and went with them due to their great reviews and their price was $1,600.00 less than one of the in house estimates and $1900.00 less than the other. We also received a quote from another moving company for $2,000.00 which after checking them out we found probably 100 horrible reviews about them. Manhattan Beach Movers did us justice and provided not only great service but a great price as well and after sorting everything out, our weight was slightly higher than the estimate which added an additional $300 to the original quote which we were informed could happen. All in all this was a great experience as far as moving goes and if we move again we would call them again next time. more

Well... were should I start – Manhattan Beach Movers came highly recommended to me from friends at my office - when I called, the guy who answer the phone (Tom) had this quick respond type of representation (the way I like it) - he didn't waste any time - he knew the building I was going to move into - he knew how long it's going to take- and most important he made me feel comfortable : he was honest and this guy knew what he was talking about - every scenario I asked about - he had a direct, straight forward answer . The price was fair - and it was a guaranteed price - Tom explains how this system is better the hourly charges - and what can I say? It makes sense. The day of the move came - and the guys arrived 10 minutes early. The head guy - Isaac (I hope I got the name right) filled up the paperwork with me - and the next thing you know - this guys started to run up and down the stairs in a chain system. now, this no joke, I had a lot of stuff and everything came down 6 flights of stairs, this guys didn't stop for a break - even item that wasn't so important - they wrapped and protected, Isaac (the head guy) was commanding the guys and they obey for what ever he said with respect. It was like watching a Special Forces platoon in action. when we got to the new building the superintendent was kind of fussy - he start giving us attitude both me and the movers - but, again Isaac handle the situation in the coolest way - the just kept working till the super came down. At the end - I was very happy, and when I gave them the tip - they all thank me. I'm telling you - you don't meet people like that every day. They arrived early and worked very fast, delivered everything in perfect condition, and assembled all pieces of furniture as quickly as they packed them up. The whole process with movers is supposed to be simple, but sometimes we fall into the wrong situations. I heard from a friend of mine that wanted to do a local moving in Manhatten area, just a few blocks away from his place. He called a local independent guy that will do the moving, and they got into argue about the price. The mover did a bad job, and my friend didn’t find two of his boxes. We procrastinated and needed our piano moved quickly. They got in touch with us right away and moved us the next day. The guys that came to move the piano were very cool. Nice friendly guys who pay attention to every detail and took such good care of the piano and the houses they were moving it out of and in to. They were very gracious too because my neighbor's dogs got out and came after them and they just jumped in the truck and stayed calm. I felt horrible but they were great about it and didn't want me to worry or feel bad. All around great service which is hard to find these days. Thanks!!! more

Yep, there actually are some good moving companies out there, Manhattan Beach Movers is definatley one of them. I moved from California 2 years ago and had a taste of all that myself...NOT FUN!!! I was really surprized that after I was told my items will be delivered up to 14 days, they were there after 10, just whithin the earliest move in date I had to my apartment. Last time I was waiting for a month for a shorted distance!!! more

This company did a great job with my move. The customer service was excellent and always friendly when I needed help. I had lots of changes before my move and they always took care of everything. They helped pack my TV and glass table, which upon arrival at my new home were still in the same condition along with all my belongings. They don't have the cheapest prices out there, but trust me the extra couple hundred dollars is well worth their quality of moving. more

We moved on December 26 and I was a little skeptical that the movers would keep their 8am arrival time after a major holiday, but boy was I wrong!!!!!! My husband and I were the ones that needed the wake up call which was given to us by the Manager of Manhattan Beach Movers - Local and long disatance moving company to let us know the name of the Supervisor for our move and his two assistants. Manhattan Beach Movers - Local and long disatance moving company recently unloaded a truck for us after we made a cross country move. They were great. Very professional. Very reasonable in terms of price. They were delicate with our stuff and with the house (taking care not to scratch walls, etc). It was a heavily packed truck and, in addition to having to move some very heavy boxes and furniture, they were very accommodating in terms of schedule and in the particulars of our move (we were moving in before my sister moved out, therefore, they had to unload things in a way that would allow her to remove her stuff in her upcoming move). It was a demanding job and they did it quickly and well. In addition, and I can't stress this enough, they had a great attitude about the whole thing. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat. more
