We actually had been heading to a different restaurant but couldn't find it, so we decided to try Trulucks. We got there around 5:45pm and were greeted by a well dressed and friendly manager who just happened to be in the vestibule. We were immediately seated by a cordial hostess, and within 1 or 2 minutes our waitress showed up to pour us some fabulous water, and then asked if we had been there before or needed time to peruse the menu. We did and so she allowed us some time to do that, as we studied the menu another waitress came and brought some bread and we selected a sample of wine to which she suggested an alternative sample. She brought both and we chose her selection which was extremely delicious and reasonably priced. Our original waitress then showed up with a tray of crab to show us the different selections and ALSO gave prices, it was nice not having to ask or for her to just assume we would be willing to spend our entire savings on a plate of dinner food. Again, the prices were reasonable and I chose the Alaskan king crab leg, it was HUGE and I was hungry. My husband ask a few questions about three things he was interested in and the waitress was extremely knowledgeable and about the dishes and made suggestions that helped him decide what to order, he chose the Steak au Poivre which is a pepper crusted filet of beef. We opted not to order any appetizers or salad just to be sure we had room for the entree' and were happy to sip wine and nibble the wonderful bread, he focused on the white bread while I ate the cinnamon walnut which was fresh, warm and delicious.\r

There was a pianist (a very good one I might add) playing somewhere in the dining room and the noise level was ""energetic"" , yet we were able to carry on conversation easily or stop to listen. Our food came and I have to tell you we were NOT disappointed. The crab was scrumptious and the steak was cooked to perfection. We are only sorry we didn't have room for dessert, next time.
