I have only been to True Grounds 3-4 times, but each time the service and food was great. Would recommend Scrambled Egg & Cheese sandwiches... The wait staff was so nice! Pros...

Best scones! 5/9/2006

I love everything about this cafe, but the scones are absolutely amazing. Try the cinnamon raisin. I promise, I wouldn't rave if they were run-of-the-mill. The staff are friendly, never condescending, and they almost always play good music. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches are terrific, too. more

Terrific Coffee and Sandwiches, Cozy Place 3/16/2006

True Grounds is just what the area needed - a funky, cozy cafe with great coffee just off the beaten path in Ball Square. The coffee and espresso are terrific, the staff is friendly, the sandwiches are thoughtfully made and the soup heals. The free wi-fi is also a perk. It's a shame the place closes at 7pm but, they've gotta do what they've gotta do. more

Funky, relaxed, coffee and food 8/18/2005

This place is great. It is located in Ball Square- about a 10 minute walk from Davis Square. There is always good music playing and funky art on the walls from local artists. Not to mention the great coffees and food. My favorite is the Pearson sandwich...very good!! And the staff is super friendly! more

Awesome coffee, non-corporate atmosphere 8/5/2005

If you are tired of the starbucks culture and want better coffee then true grounds is the place to be. Free Wi-Fi and revolving artists provide plenty. The sandwhichs are very good with very neighborhood specific names. But I like the bacon and cheese bagel. When the lines are too long across the street you can get a good meal here. more
