In March of 1990, an idea for a quick lube heavy-duty truck business was born at a kitchen table between two friends, Harry Stevenson and Lee Taylor. Our idea turned into a reality in August of 1990 when we formed a partnership and started operating Truck Lube 1.
From the start, our idea was to “do whatever it took” to keep customer satisfaction at the highest level. Our philosophy – always treat customers as number one allowed us to grow and prosper for over 24 years.
In April 2006, Bandag Inc., an international company based in Muscatine, Iowa, acquired our company – beginning a new era of growth. Bandag Inc would also purchase our partner organization in Tampa and Lakeland: Truck Repair 1 and combined all locations under the single name: Truck PM Plus!
In June 2007, Bandag Inc. and Truck PM Plus were acquired by Bridgestone Americas, Inc. and aligned under the Bridgestone Bandag group. With Bridgestone’s support, Truck PM Plus has continued to expand within Florida and outside of the state.
Over the last few years, we have expanded to seven service locations in Florida, added a service location in Dallas, Texas, started operating dedicated facilities in Illinois and California, and began laying the ground work to open several new service locations through the Southeast United States..
