TRS Automotive was honest and service-oriented when Don and Jerry owned it a few years ago. No more. The current operator overcharges customers on parts costs, and he and his one young mechanic (I don't know about the others) give a side of very BAD attitude when customers question them about repairs. Here's the story: When a warrantied part malfunctioned, they replaced it. I asked for the maker & parts number in case if happened again after the 12-mos. warranty expired. They provided the part number and website name where they ordered the after-market part. I called the website customer service & got the maker and price for the part. Turns out, TRS originally charged more than $500 for the part that the website's customer service rep said cost TRS just under $200!!! Plus, I originally had paid an additional $85 for labor. And, TRS had the gall to say that I originally didn't want to pay up for OEM equipment! At what point in time does the mechanic deserve a $300+ profit on a $200 part PLUS labor costs??
