Bad experience @ Troy Public Library! Today just before 5 stopped by to look for an article in Consumer Reports. Just wanted to copy it & leave. Magazines had been moved since I was last there. Asked about this. Did not see Consumer Reports on shelf. Went to librarians desk to ask if they even carried it. She was having a nice little chat with a patron. She did not stop the conversation to ask if she could help me. I stood there without any acknowledgement what so ever. I did not come for the social hour, book club or anything else. I just needed to ask a simple question. Went to the front desk. Stood there and got one person that walked away from desk as I approached & another who did not seem to see me & turned his back to me. Went to the doorway behind desk to ask my question and was referred back to the chatty librarian. I said to this person. ""I was already over there and she is otherwise occupied and can't seem to be bothered to answer a simple question. If this is the kind of service you get @ the Troy Public Library perhaps it would have been better that it closed. I will not be back there any time soon.
