Excellent food with a family touch 3/3/2005

The food was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant just for the wonderful creations of Chef Fausto Alvarez. The service left a little to be desired. Yummy Mom and Pop's Place 2/21/2005

Found this little hole in the wall place on Lake. It's pretty good! The service was a little slow but that's because Mom is in the kitchen cooking up a a meal for you. The food was Cuban, which is ironic because that fancy ""J-Lo"" restaurant is right behind it. But this restaurant had a more ""home-cooking"" feel. I really liked the Cuban chicken, really flavorful. And of course who doesn't love Plantains. more
