If you have the option NOT to live there, then don't. We believed this would be a great starting point for us when we moved to Bourbonnais.
All they did from day one was tell us our rent was late (never was) and raise the rent. In the 2 years we lived there it was raised 150 dollars. For a family on one income with a small child, that was incredibly difficult to swallow.
They always have their hand out for money, but NEVER fix anything in the park. The fence behind our house on Apache was CONSTANTLY breaking, or being broken by neighborhood teens. Tristar would say they were gonna fix it, but never did. The roads are shoddy, and FINALLY one of them got fixed.
The parks for the kids are so unsafe, I had to deal on numerous occasions my preschooler crying cause he wanted to play. But the LEAD paint is chipping, The slides are metal and one of them cut him open the only time I let him play. Numerous other playground equipment is broken. We heard for 2 years that they had ordered the equiment to fix it all.
They are out for themselves, with NO regard to the clients. And Sadly, the park office manager was my neighbor, and she seemingly took NO pride in the community.
