Great For Lunch 8/24/2011

It's difficult to find a good restaurant open for lunch. Living in Las Vegas, it isn't difficult to find restaurants, but nothing as good as this is, for a nice lunch, once in a while. Service excellent, and food really good. The only drawback is, it's a little noisey, but we were there for the lunch hour. more

Best of All Things Restaurant 1/13/2009

My husband and I made it here on January 10, 2009 and were so impressed with the ambiance, service, food and drink that I am planning my graduation party here and am looking forward to going back soon. The service is so impeccable and Brian is wonderful. You must have the shrimp cocktail they are huge and you get 5 of them for a great price. The salads and steaks are great as well as the apple/blueberry cobbler and the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. If you want to try an undiscovered spot go here you will love it. Pros: Great Food, Service, Drinks and Ambiance. more

Little expensive, but I liked it ! 12/30/2008

My husband and I like to stay in Downtown Vegas when we visit so I did a search for a nicer classy restraunt on the web and ran across Triple George's overview and website. So while we were there over Christmas weekend, romantic get-away for the two of us, I made it a point to stop in and try the place. The online menu looked enticing. Verdict is: I was pleased ! The atmosphere is quite nice - very clean, low lighting for intimate dining, big dark wood bar at the entry, private eating areas available. Pleasant. Though I will note the chairs aren't the most comfortable but that hardly made a dent in my overall impression of the place. The food was very good. I had the Ribeye special offered that evening. My husband had the Shrimp Linguini special and we had a calamari appetizer. Yum ! And it was a LOT of food. No way I could finish. I remarked to the waitress that it was the first time, since meedting my husband (7 years ago - he's a grill genius), that I wasn't disappointed with a steak prepared in a restraunt and I've visited several steak places since then. The service was AWESOME !! The waitress was a fun lady - very professional with an enjoyable demeanor. Food came quick once ordered. Nice ! Only reason I didn't rate it excellent is because of the price. 2 meals, 2 teas and an appetizer - no dessert. Bill was $80. I thought it was a little expensive. That's solely based on my opinion and I do recomend you try it and make your own judgment. It was worth the experience and we very well may go there again next time we're in Las Vegas. Pros: everything but price Cons: a bit pricey more

Very mediocre meals 10/13/2008

Our waiter quickly appeared for our drink orders, water, and recited the day?s specials. We received a complimentary relish tray and placed our orders. My wife opted for the evening?s special, sesame crusted Ahi tuna served with mashed potatoes and mixed seasonal vegetables. The tuna was served too rare so it was sent back to the kitchen until it was suitably medium rare. I could tell something was amiss when a frown appeared on my wife's forehead after taking a few bites. The tuna was extremely tough and the potatoes had been genetically re-mastered resulting in an out-of-worldly consistency and flavor. I fared only slightly better with the seafood cioppino ? shrimp, mussels, crab, white fish, clams and scallops in a somewhat spicy tomato sauce. We concluded the meal with a bread pudding that was tasty, but too heavy. Pros: Good service Cons: Poor quality food more

LIKE A PETER LUGERS IN DOWNTOWN VEGAS 10/11/2008

What a great suprize and and great food. A little hard to find in downtown Vegas but worth the look. Valet parking a perk also. This place reminded me alot of Peter Lugers in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York. The steaks were the best. The service very friendly, and a great wine selection. Full service bar also. Pros: Everything Cons: Next to a biker bar, but I like bikers more

Best Downtown Restaurant in Las Vegas 4/24/2008

I live in Las Vegas and have enjoyed dinner here twice so far and I'm going again this Saturday night! Service is wonderful -- attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Classy and comfortable atmosphere and the food is stellar! Comfort food with class is how I'd describe it. Their bacon-wrapped meatloaf is nothing short of amazing, the crab cakes are meaty and flavorful, shrimp cocktail had 6 large shrimp but was slightly overcooked, George's chopped salad is awesome (with crumbled feta cheese, and a wonderful house vinagrette), the petrale sole was cooked perfectly, and their stuffed pork chops were fabulous stuffed with apples and goat cheese! And yes, the adjacent bar, Sidebar, is comfortable and the cocktails are delicious. We were amazed how few people were there on a Saturday night. People need to know this place exists so we don't lose probably THE best downtown restaurant in Las Vegas. Pros: Valet parking, comfortable yet upscale atmosphere, fabulous food and service! Cons: The sound of Harley's up and down the street since it is adjacent to Hogs and Heffers - a biker bar. more

Best place for quality, personal service, and overall great atmosphere!!!! 4/9/2008

For anyone who has not tried Triple George you are missing out on one of the best places to dine in this over-priced, casino-filled town. They just changed their menu and it is better than ever. A la carte is gone and many of the original favorites are back!!! The service is outstanding. The entire staff is friendly, just start talking to them and you will see what I mean. The food is great and you definitely will NOT leave hungry. The dessert are so delicious and I believe they are made in-house everyday. Oh and I cannot forget Sidebar. I have taken many friends who agree the drinks are among the best in Las Vegas. Jerry and Adina will make any alcoholic concoction you want!!!!! I am always impressed by this place and how friendly the staff is to each other and to the customers!! Don't be scared by ""downtown"" it's about to be the best place in Vegas!! If you haven't tried it yet, venture to Triple Geogre and feel what it means to be a part of a really great restaurant!! Pros: everything Cons: waiting for downtown to finish its makeover more

Looking for a Phenomal Steak? You will find it here.... 3/11/2008

A group of 10 of us went to Triple George on Saturday night for the first time. What a wonderful place this is!!!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. We will go back again and again. This is the best kept secret in downtown Las Vegas. But don't let the fact that it is downtown scare you. It is easily accessible!!! We were actually trying to get reservations at Hugo's Cellar, and I was rudely told that they could not accomodate my party until 9:30pm. After several people had recommended this place, we decided to try it. It was fabulous experience!!! You won't be sorry!!! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

If you are looking for something special, this is it. 7/17/2007

I'm not one who usually writes reviews. But, after trying Triple George, I wanted to learn more about it and found this website. It was such a great experience, that I wanted to join in recommending it. It was recommended by a friend and it has become one of my favorite restaurants any where in Vegas. The place is just impressive. The food is killer, the service is friendly, professional, and just the right amount of interaction. Much better service than I am used to in Vegas. The place has the feel of a classier time.\r If you are looking for something special, this is it. Pros: Not just Dinner, an experience like stepping back in time. Cons: You gotta drive downtown, but it's worth it. more

Perfection!!! 5/1/2007

Triple George Grill is now one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. The service is always great and the food is even better. I hear that they won 2 Best of Las Vegas awards and rightfully so. I love their new Ala Carte dinner menu. It gives me more options and for $4.95 my husband and I can get a side dish that is big enough to share. My favorite entree would have to be the New York Strip Steak. It is always made to perfection. The runner up would be the marinated Pork Chops. We have become regular customers and are now recognized by the employees and always treated like VIP's. If you have not been to Triple George Grill...you are missing out! Pros: Free Valet Parking, New Menu, Great Service more

By George....it's great 4/30/2007

I have been dining at George for almost a year. I have taken dozens of people there and all say that this will be their new favorite restaurant in LV. I don't mind their new menu as every other quality place I go is now ala carte. I think $4.95 for a side is a great price compared to a $10.00 baked potato at other steak houses. The last time four of us dined there, our bill came to $235 for drinks, steaks, sides and wonderful desserts. This is a fraction of the cost at Nine, Joe's Crab, Craftsteak or Mortons and just as good. Curbside valet is awesome. If you want an after dinner drink, Sidebar is right next door. Wonderful atmosphere with big windows looking outside.\r \r I was surprised this place was even downtown. I am glad it is a secret because I can get a table when I go there unlike an hour wait at other places. I am sure someday this place will be hard to get in to also but I can say 'I remember when'. Until then I would highly recommend it for a fun night of great food and drinks and wonderful service.\r \r Don't be surprised if you see the Mayor hanging around. I have seen him on numerous visits as well as a senator, the governor, judges, city council members and more. They know and hopefully will keep the secret\r \r Like their advertising says...Be George Pros: Easy to get in to Cons: After dinner there is not much else to do downtown more

Don't Waste Your Money 4/27/2007

We had dinner in Triple George just as they started their ""new"" menu, in an ill advised move to be more of a steakhouse. The only positive thing I can say about this ridiculously over-priced restaurant is that their dining room was lovely. I'm sorry not to have been fortuneate enough to eat there with their old menu. Next time I get to Vegas, I won't head here! Cons: New Menu is too limited and too expensive more

Great Place for locals 4/20/2007

I have been going to Triple George for the last few months. Usually about once a week. The service is fantastic and at this point many of the staff recognize us and stop by to chat and catch up. The atmosphere reminds me of many of the old town bar and grills in NYC. Tiled floors, lots of dark wood, HUGE bar, cozy booths. The food is always solid. Great tasty salads, seafood, and steaks. Everything always cooked perfectly. The food is uncomplicated as it should be for a bar and grill. The wine list is good and fairly priced. It is a great place for locals to hang out as you feel transported from blinking lights of Las Vegas.\r \r Check out side bar which is attached to the restaurant. There is usually a jazz piano player on the weekends and several times guests have been singing?well, I might add?which added to the general cool, relaxed environment. \r Pros: next to hogs and heffers - good people watching Cons: next to Hogs and Heffers - noisy bikes if sitting outside more

Wonderful Restaurant Downtown 4/19/2007

Triple George Grill is the best! Everybody needs to try this place. You will not regret it. They have a new dinner menu and it is excellent! We started with the seafood sampler. It was perfect! Our dinner was made to perfection and for dessert we had the Warm Chocolate Indulgence....best chocolate cake I have ever tasted. And I can't forget to mention that their sourdough bread is to die for and the service was excellent. This was our first trip to Triple George Grill but we plan on making plenty of trips in the future. And, they have valet parking right in front of the retaurant on 3rd Street....Bonus! \r \r Pros: Service, Food, Parking more

Worst Dining experince ever 4/7/2007

We were unfortunate enough to go to Triple George on the night they began a new menu. Friends who live in Vegas and went there regularly raved about this place and they decided to take a group of us visiting from NY to dinner. The new menu was extremely limited, with everything a la carte. We began with drinks. An apricot sour had to be sent back and another specialty drink recommended by our server was awful as well. Seems like they must also have a new bartender as well as a new menu. We skipped appetizers because the prices were ridiculously high for everything on the menu. For dinner most of us had steaks. None were really cooked as ordered and all portions were small. My wife ordered one of their chicken dishes and this needed to be sent back because the chicken was still pink. The side orders were brought out at different times, instead of all together with the meal. A few of us had dessert and this was the one good part of the meal. The best part of the meal was Sean the busboy. At least he was friendly and really worked hard. My friends who brought us to Triple George are still apologizing. I had looked at their menu on their website before leaving for Vegas and was very disappointed with the new one. I would have to say it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The food was mediocre to poor. Service was not very good. They are trying to act like a high priced steakhouse like Peter Lugar?s or the Old Homestead. but the only similarity is in their pricing. I will not recommend this to anyone I know and my friends who live in Vegas will certainly not be going back! Overall what should have been a great night out with friends was ruined by this terrible restaurant- Triple George. Cons: New Menu, prices, drinks, service more

Triple George is fabulous! I have never had better service anywhere and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: Parking more

I Love this place!!! 6/28/2006

I never knew anything like this existed downtown. The entire experience was wonderful from valet, to dinner, to the great service. Hats off to the chef, the food was excellent! We went to sidebar the bar next to Triple George after dinner to have drinks and that place was fabulous also. I think they are owned by the same company. I will continue to go there. Pros: Service, Parking, Atmosphere more
