Terrible Experience 5/16/2013

Wish I'd seen the negative reviews here first before I wasted my time and money on a first office visit there.\r \r Dr Snider is completely rude and condescending. \r \r Recommended a $370.00 "complete" blood test to check my cat's thyroid. When I asked how much a blood test was for just the thyroid I was told that was $70.00.\r \r He was impatient and rude when I asked questions about another test he was asking about and he dismissed me by saying he'd already explained it and then that didn't want to "confuse" me...like I was some kind of dummy who just couldn't get it.\r \r He also openly scoffed when I suggested my female cat's deafness was caused by an anti-biotic...without knowing what she took or for how long...and later admitted that it was a possibility.\r \r He repeatedly called my male cat a "she"...even after I corrected him.\r \r Fortunately I had a chance to tell him to his face I didn't appreciate his rude behavior...and he appologized offering some weak excuses as to why he'd been more

Try anybody else. 4/7/2010

The best service they provide is padding the bill. Second best, is selling the most expensive services they figure the can hook you into. Prices overall are considerably higher than normal. Listening to the customer is the worst thing they do. more

great vet! 3/25/2010

I have had 3 dogs two of which have seen Dr. Kromer and Dr. Snider. I have never had any problems with either. If anything they have been extremely knowledgable and caring. My third dog Dakota needed to be put to sleep. The staff and Dr. Cromer were the most compassionate people one could meet. They took the last pictures of me with Dakota while he was alive, gave us all the time we needed for our final good byes. When the time came for the final injection, he passed peacefully and in no pain A few days later I got a sympathy card with Dakota's paw print and signed by everyone. more

Bad Manners, Bad Service, Big Disappointment - I give 0 stars! 5/7/2009

I recently moved here from WV and have a 9yr old Japanese Chin with a serious heart murmur and recent surgery to remove 8 bladder stones. A few weeks after the surgery, another stone not previously seen on xrays blocked his urethra and had to be flushed back into his bladder. He recently started bleeding from the irritation of the stone so I looked on the Internet to find a local vet. Dr. Snider not only did not introduce himself, let alone shake my hand, but he never acknowledged his patient, my dog. His only acknowledgement of my dog was to listen to his heart murmur and feel for the bladder stone I already know is there. The previous vet caught a urine sample while my dog peed - Dr. Snider wanted to stick a needle into his bladder and draw out a sample. Next he recommended an xray to see if he had a stone - which I already told him was there and which he felt. He told me the xray could be done at that time if I "could handle the $150." When I didn't buy the food which would make his more

Thank you Dr. Cromer and staff 2/19/2009

Some how even on your busiest days, you manage to answer all my questions. I appreciate the time you take. I appreciate the countless years you spent educating yourself to make a better life for the good of all pets. I appreciate that I can take all my pets to one vet, bird, rabbit, dog and my cat. I also appreciate the times when you show me great compassion, when it's time to put one of my pets to sleep. You and your staff always call to check up on one of my pet, after shots, if they have been under the weather or had surgery. (who does that any more) You do, And, I appreciate it. more

Really Great Service! 1/6/2009

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Cromer for over 14 years and I would not trust them to anyone else's care. Their staff is very caring, knowledgeable, and have been so great with my treasured babies (cats). They were especially kind and helpful when I lost my Yogi Bear to heart disease. Dr. Cromer gave him the best of care and prolonged a quality life 6 months longer than anticipated. Thank you for all you do for us! more

Great office staff! 11/16/2008

I have had several experiences here and overall I would recommend this veterinary office. I did have an incident where I had agreed to have a procedure done on my dog with the exception of the cost being less than $500 total. When I went to get her after surgery, the bill was considerably larger. After discussing it with the office staff, they did take the additional charges off my bill. Overall it was acceptable but a bit of a hassle. more

Price Gaugers Don't deserve any stars. 8/19/2008

One month prior to neuters estimate was $480. Day of surgey it was $200+ higher. Even with discount. Never got senior discount. Total went from $510 to $810. Unauthorized dental cleaning on two not quite 8month old pups. Never recommend. TV 12 got my $300.00 refund for me.Guess they didn't want to be on tv 12 On Your Side.Push Science diet crap food and pad the bills. more

They treat you like family! 12/29/2007

We had such a pleasant experience at Tri City East Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Cromer and the staff really treated our pets as if they were part of their own family. It was fun, friendly, and clean. We will definitely go back!!! more

Do not board your pet here! 10/13/2007

Wow, what a disappointment! We have taken our English Bulldog to Dr. Snider for over 3 years of her life. We used Tri City to board her two years ago and had no issues. This time we boarded her for six days. She requires two types of medication daily to keep her skin allergies controlled. She also is fed three meals a day. I gave specific instructions covering meds and food. I called twice during the week to check on her and received assurance that all was well. We drove back from vacation and picked her up on the way home. When we got her home we took a closer look at her to find her with a horrible topical breakout and yellow drainage from her ears. I checked the meds and found only two pills missing from one medicine and none from the other. Needless to say my husband and I were beyond upset. She was not given one med at all and was only given two days worth (out of six) of the other. Her food was dosed in baggies for their convenience and we had four bags not given. I more

Horrible - Cromer's a Salesman 8/16/2007

I have 2 cat with Chronic Renal Failure. Typical procedures include checking their blood pressure, I had to ask to have that done, and then he said it was difficult and not always accurate. (never heard this from any other vets!) Gave me erroneous info on administering meds and recommended one OTC med they no longer make and one that is not good to give to a CRF cat. When I questioned him and he walked away as though I didn't know what I was talking about. (I'm pretty knowledgable about the topic as I have been treating 2 cats the past year, do research myself, and have seen a specialist.) He didn't have time to discuss my cat, but spent several minutes telling me about the journals he reads and someone else cat. Sold me their "GOLD Package for 3 dogs (>$1,500) an d misdiagnosed my dog with kidney issues. Sold me a bunch of special foods and supplements.\r \r He's s good "salesman" - but BEWARE! more

Star treatment for your pet 7/27/2005

This facility is really nice. There are separate entrances for dogs and cats, so that is a bonus right there! The vets and all of the staff are really great with animals and friendly with the owners. It is obvious that they all truly care about animals and your feelings as the pet owner. It is a really great animal hospital/veterinary clinic for you to visit if you want really good care of your pets more
