When I was 15 years old, I got into a serious car accident and I've been terrified to drive since then and I'm 30 now. I decided to go to 911 Driving School of Tri Cities. I took the class from Mark, he's not there anymore, but he was absolutely wonderful. He was so educated and took time to come in on his own days off to go over stuff with me. Whatever I needed to be done, he helped me out.
Brian is the instructor I've done all my drives with. He is wonderful. He teaches us all these tricks parents don't know or might not even think about, but are great for their kids to learn. Like lining yourself up on the road and so you can stay where you need to be within the lines. Brian was very helpful and always willing to teach us. I wouldn't have gotten over my fear of driving if I hadn't gone here.
Also, I think the drives are good for everybody. Usually, there are two people in the back of the car, so we can listen to the teaching going on. Like Brian was teaching a girl how to drive her manual, and telling her how to shift when going up hill. He made it easy for her to understand, and it was good for us to hear too.
I also really like that the instructors there are all officers and I think that is really important for people to know. They bring a lot of experience to the classes and have a lot of things to offer to us. They are able to educate us about effects of driving under drugs and alcohol, the importance of wearing seat belts and driving the speed. I think being in law enforcement is a definite plus for this business and their instructors.
