Tres Chic Wedding Clothiers

The two sisters that run Tres Chic are horrible! Since the bride purchased her gown there, the rest of us in the wedding party were encouraged to get our dresses there as well. The women made rude, snarky comments about my figure (I'm somewhat thin), and another bridesmaid who has a perfect, curvy figure. They apparently only like to deal with full-figured customers, like themselves. While trying on dresses, the other bridesmaid was teased, groped, and yanked on by the two women. She purchased a dress anyways, despite how the owners treated her. When she went back in to try on the dress she ordered, it was way too big. When she stepped out into the main room to show the women, one of them yanked her dress down, exposing her bare breasts to the other six customers in the store. She was horrified! She covered her breasts with her hands while a man sitting in a chair gawked at her. Then, to add to the trauma, the woman got behind her, and reached around front to grab her boobs and hoist them up, commenting that they'd have to be lifted to fit into the dress. Then she unzipped and yanked the dress down from behind, pulling the entire thing down to the ground, and partially pulling down the bridesmaid's underwear in the process! That owner then pinched the girl's backside and made a comment about her ""big child bearing hips"" being the reason why she had to order such a large dress. These women exposed this poor girl and groped her in front of six strangers! She was absolutely mortified and left shaking and in tears. This goes way beyond mere unprofessionalism!! Tres Chic Wedding Clothiers on Appleton Ave in Menomonee Falls have 2 dogs that run around the store, and today when picking up our bridesmaid dresses we found the bag of one FULL OF DOG PISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As if that wasn't enough, it has been an all around bad experience with sarcastic, rude owners running the place.... more

The sisters that run this place here made me feel horrible from the moment my dress order went in. They made very unkind remarks about my figure, the one has a habit of ""helping"" by suddenly grabbing your breasts and shoving them in the dress, or yanking your clothes down. I nearly fell forward when she yanked and jerked my bra, and I thought she might rip my new dress!! All the while commenting about my breasts and hips. When I asked questions about anything, I received annoyed responses and eye rolls. One member of my group actually was in tears! Totally rude and unprofessional, nobody deserves to spend that kind of money and be treated like that! And after reading the other negative reviews online and nodding my head at each comment, I can only hope that some women can be saved from this and find a wonderful experience elsewhere! more

I had a very similar experience to 'katishax'. Very poor service. It's almost as if these 2 sisters are making fun of you behind your back. Unprofessional and not what you want to deal with when you're in wedding mode. Cash only if you don't have your alterations done with them (i wouldn't trust them with alterations. they have no idea about sewing or altering). Only open until 4pm most days (most of us work!) They seem to dislike normal or thin women. Both times I've been in there they have cooed over the larger women (we all need the same assistance! just because I'm small doesn't mean I don't need help zipping up or with clamps). Also, they have 2 dogs running around the place. \r If you don't want an attitude/hassle/being over charged then I would stay far away from this place. more

I cannot say enough about ALL of the positive experiences that I have had with Tres Chic. I have been to Tres Chic numerous times for bridesmaid dresses over the past 10 years and most recently my 2nd wedding.\r I am not the skinniest girl on the block and they have always gone above and beyond to help me find a dress that I will feel comfortable in and look good in.\r I have always left there with the feeling of being in good hands and they have never failed me.\r I can't wait to take my girls to them for their first formal dresses and for their wedding dresses.\r \r Keep up the good work!!\r \r Pros: Welcoming wonderful and knowledgable more

I tend not to write reviews because any one can have an ""off day,"" but my experience was frustrating enough to warrant this review.\r \r I went to the shop with my MOH looking for a bridesmaid dress. After being shown the dressing room, we were basically ignored while both sisters tended to a bride who was leaving. At first, I tried making friendly conversation, but it was apparent to us that because we weren't purchasing a bridal gown, the sisters considered us low priority. We were shown to a room and though they were just outside the room, the women completely ignored us. We noticed that another bride, who was late for her appointment (she got lost), had to press the two women for any kind of help. They finally showed her into an empty dressing room across from ours. I was shocked by their uncooperativeness.\r \r While my MOH tried on dresses, I was left to zipper, clamp, and otherwise handle the fitting for her. Mind you, we're not high maintenance people. We were just hoping for some help. Not only were we not helped, but several catty comments were made when my MOH tried on a dress a second time in order to get a better look. We were clearly being made to feel like we were not worth their time or trouble.\r \r After ignoring us, the women had the nerve to ask if we were going to order a dress. We declined, and upon leaving the store, the two women again acted unprofessionally by giving ""knowing"" glances to each other--actually, snide comes to mind. It was like they were channeling their inner 16-year olds! We were stunned!\r \r Beratti Bridal, a mere 10 minutes away, was a far better experience.
