Travelodge Inn & Suites

We liked the location and what you got for the money! compared to other hotels in the area it was a great price and we were blown away by how big the rooms were. Our room had a fridge and microwave and the beds were so comfy. The location to the river walk was really good. We also loved the fact it had a suite set up with a tv in each room so the kids could hang out and watch tv in the suite while we had another tv in the bedroom. This is a perfect hotel if traveling with family! more

Our stay at this hotel was quite enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, maid service was efficient, the breakfast was fresh and I had use of the internet anytime I needed. We were also able to park right outside our room which was a comfort also. I enjoy this hotel. more

I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about. This hotel is fine at any rate, even better at around $34 a night. I was much happier with my stay there than with my last stay at the over $100 a night at St. Anthony a couple of years ago. The hotel was quiet and clean. The hallways were well lit and my room was large and clean. I booked a king size room. It had a seperate sitting area, small refrigerater, microwave, coffee maker and iron with ironing board. I had a late check in, which I noted on my reservation I made through the Travelodge website. The woman at the counter was friendly when I got there at around 11 pm. Since I had my printed confirmation there was no problem. I did have a slight problem getting into my room when I checked in, but someone immediatel walked up with me to handle it. Yes the hotel is on the old side, but most in San Antonio are. As a woman traveling alone I felt much safer coming and going from this hotel than I did when I stayed downtown and parking was free and convenient at this hotel. I could kick myself for paying the $7 valet parking charge on my last trip and paying more for a smaller room in a hotel that was no better. The location is great, a little hard to find the first time, but convenient to the highway and lots of restaurants. Should I travel to San Antonio again I'll stay here again more

I liked that the room was big and had a safe to place my belongings in. Also, the restroom was large and spacious! Staff was welcoming and location was a plus!!! more

lways difficult to find a good price in a great town as San Antonio so we decide to drive to Austin by the Highway I35. Along the Hwy, lot of motels indicate their prices on great lighting signs and we decide to stop at the Howard Johnson at $42 ... but it was not the good price( about the double...) Just on the side Travelodge indicated $39 and, at the desk ,it was not too the good price and finally it was $65... not really happy of that, one more time but the surprise was when we entry in the room (N°160), it was a SUITE.... What a space, a saloon, the comfort, clean, coffee etc... What a surprise, a good surprise and a good deal for the price. Good breakfast and wifi. more

This hotel was GREAT. Clean bathroom, had 2 sinks, microwave and a fridge. Had a HUGE mirror. Had cable. The continental breakfast was good . Had a small living room area and the bed was nice and big more

The price was great and the room was great. The room was quiet as can be even though it was full. No problems whatsoever more

I was very impressed. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. Our family really enjoyed this hotel and plan to stay here every time we visit San Antonio more

We checked in about mid-afternoon with no reservation, asking for 2 rooms, next to each other, one smoking, one not, preferably with king beds. Able was at the front desk. He made the best effort possible to get us exactly what we asked for, even though it was still early and some rooms were still being cleaned. We ended up with 2 suites, only 1 door apart, for the standard room rate(!), since he took great care to get us rooms that were already cooled down with the a/c on. Since it was a 100 deg day, we were very appreciative of that! We didn't make use of the pool or the other amenities, but everything in both rooms, including wireless internet, worked perfectly. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in San Antonio more

Very close to retaurants and stores, nice pool area,I liked that it had a kitchen but no pots or pans.Very friendly staff more

We weren't always fans of the Travel Lodge Hotels however, our stay at this hotel was quite enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, maid service was efficient, the breakfast was fresh and I had use of the internet anytime I needed. We were also able to park right outside our room which was a comfort also. more

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and responsive to my requests. The room was better than most in this price range, and suited our needs well. more
