I am heading to transmissions by bruce for the third time. Three different vehicles, the first two went so well. When I installed my first one in a k1500, I locked the overdrive in and blew the pump. My error, not only did they not laugh at me they, they removed repaired and correctly installed the transmission with good will. The second time was our commercial 3/4 ton service truck, quickly repaired, and returned to service. more

I went to a lot of other garages and it seemed like they were in a hurry to take my money. John (Bruce's son) took the time to explain and show me what the problem was. I felt I got a good price and got my car back in 3 days. Runs Great. more

I have a Silverado 1500 truck that had a 3-4 slip. I called transmissions by bruce along with 3 other shops and just felt like they were being honest and took time to explain what they felt like the problem was. I took my truck there on a Tues. and they called me right away with the diagnostics and explained what the problem was and the price. I checked online and the price seemed fair. Had my truck back on Thur. and everything seemed fine. That was 6 months ago.All is well. I just feel people need to know there is a good transmission shop out there to do business . more

Good job. I go by this shop on my way to work. My 2007 GMC 2500 blew the transmission and stopped moving. Called a couple of transmission shops and ended up at transmissions by bruce. They told me around 1800.00 to fix it and that is about what everyone else said. John called me after they towed it in and told me the transfer case broke and it would be 885.00 to fix. YAHOO. Came out spending less than what I was quoted. That's rare. Honest service. Danny more

Great shop that was $300 less then what other places quoted me at. I dealt with john who had my Jeep Liberty fixed in 3 days! I really needed my car back and they new that. I recommended this place to a friend who had an equally good experience! more

Transmissions by Bruce was so good to me. I had my transmission repaired and no problems since. He even charged me less then what he quoted me. Couldn't have wished for a better experience! Not to mention the owner spoke to me once and a month later he remembered I mentioned my mom was sick and asked how she was doing. Very nice people who really took car of my car! more

STAY AWAY.this place will rip you off for thousands.After a supposed transmission replace there were nothing but problems. When we brought it back less than 10 months later they claimed we were never there to begin with and for it to be fixed it would cost another $1000 after the initial $2000 in replacement. When we tried to gather the owner and manager info to file a formal complaint they hung up on us.They are professional scammers. more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THEM.......total butcher job ....I would tell u everything I went through but would take to long.......and it was a manual transmission. ....much easier than automatic. ......the clutch is messed up now ...I have wires just hanging everywhere ground not connected to transmission like it was.......grease all over inside .....doors , dash, seat, shifter..............use to b a decent place ........not anymore will never go back more

The worst place you can choose for transmission work. Quoted one price, then once they got my vehicle, the price went up. Quoted for a new transmission, but ended up just rebuilding my old one. Never fixed the broken bolts on the transmission pan. Said it would be too much work!!!\r Had to return my truck four times before it was finally fixed. They never call on when you will get your vehicle back. Transmission started leaking after several months of driving. Save your money and go to someone else!!!! more

I do not recommend them at all. I have a 97 GMC Sonoma and I brought my truck there because I was having transmission problems. They said it would take a couple of days. And would call me. It took a week to call and i had to call them. Original quote was $1200 but it changed to $1700. They said I cracked my housing. They wouldn't show me proof of it. And when I finally got my truck back. They had put a completely different transmission in. DIdnt tell me until after. Forgot to put my crossmember bolts in. Told me after the fact they had to customize my crossmember to fit the new transmission. Didn't plug in my neutral safety switch so I didn't have reverse lights. Didn't adjust my neutral safety switch like they were supposed to. And now it has 4,500 miles on it and its already slipping and will not warranty it.... never take your car there. Waste of money. more

Recently my transmission failed as I was on the highway. John got my car towed into his shop right away and was fixed two days later. Just because they had to wait on some special order parts. John was very helpful and always kept me posted as to what the status was. When i got my car back it shifted beautifully and was like a new car. I would recommend them to anyone. more

Truly wonderful experience. My transmission blew out and this place was fast and AFFORDABLE. I couldnt afford a lump some payment so I talked to the owner and he worked with me allowing me to make payments. I strongly recommend transmissions by bruce, GREAT SERVICE. more
