I went in to get a tattoo and the artist doing it asked about the other tattoos I had and when he saw them and heard about who did them he started insulting my other artist's work...

I went in to get a tattoo and the artist doing it asked about the other tattoos I had and when he saw them and heard about who did them he started insulting my other artist's work on me and said that my other tattoos were going to age very badly. He also referred to my custom work as some flash from a book. I would've walked out but he was already in the middle of working on me. I will not go there again for any tattoos! more

The Best Place to get a tattoo in Lancaster. 7/20/2006

Transcending Flesh is one of the best places I have ever gotten a tattoo at. The talent level and the quality of work are top notch. Make an appointment because they do get booked up quickly and don't expect to walk in and get a tattoo that same day. But, it is well worth the wait. The artist really took the time to get my ideas incorporated in the custom half sleeve he did for me. Since getting that work done I have gone back four times to get other custom pieces done and I will probably keep on going back. more

Nice clean place to get inked 4/10/2006

Transcending Flesh is one of the most popular places to get a tattoo. They are always busy and it could take a while to get an appointment. (I made the mistake of thinking I could just walk in on a Friday night!) I needed an evening appointment and had to book a month out. My tattoo was from a book, so there was no custom art required. The colors are great, it has barely faded in two years. I won't say it was painless, but my artist was quick and gentle. Everything was clean and sanitary, and I felt very comfortable there. They even honored a gift certificate that was two years old without a question--there was no expiration date on it. I left the shop already thinking about what I wanted next time! more
