Wedding dress shopping was not my favorite thing to do, and over the course of my search I came across Traditions in Chapel Hill. Although I did not find my dress here, I did find many beautiful dresses to try on! The staff was altogether wonderful and very helpful. I always recommend this store to anyone I know who is dress shopping! more

I am the first one to admit that I truly dislike wedding shops. When I was planning my wedding I was dreading the dress shopping. I don't like frills, poofy, or bows. A friend suggested Traditions. I stepped in and was unamused with my friend. It was beautiful and cozy, but to me definitely looked like the cliche wedding dress shop. However, immediately I was greeted by a warm, yet not overbearing saleswoman who took time to listen to my likes and dislikes, and quickly picked up on my aversion to shops like the one I was currently standing in! She picked out three dresses for me. They were all lovely, but one was perfect. I loved it. It was simple, yet elegant, exactly what I was looking for. They also did the alterations, which were done expertly. I have since sent many friends there and they too have been completely enamored with their experience. more
